Good food, Nice Setting; A Bit Noisy

8 of us had a birthday dinner on a weekday night. Brookline Village is an interesing location and parking on the street on a weekday is not terribly difficult. The ambiance of Pomodoro is both comfortable and engeretic. Nice, tame bar scene in the middle of the dining area. Our large party... read more

We came here upon the recommendation of our B&B innkeeper and could not have been happier. Everything was just delicious! Meatball appetizers with garlic crisps were awesome and Burrata was melt in your mouth delicious. Both our meals were great too. Our waiter was very attentive and the atmosphere was lovely. One caveat- cash only! Highly recommend. We will return... More

After a couple of visits to this Brookline Village gem, you will become a regular, and any pal of owner Siobhan, gets plied with free appetizers and tableside visits. Hands down, the best tomato sauce I have ever tasted. My husband just wants to eat bread dipped in that divine sauce, and he doesn't even like tomato sauce. Famous for... More

Went here with a few colleagues with whom I was attending a conference. It is a small restaurant, dim lights, and cozy. The food was fantastic. I had a linguine with shrimp, which was delicious. Nice wine selection. Overall a great place to have dinner with a few friends or even a romantic dinner. I wouldn't recommend it for kids... More

Lovely atmosphere with upscale wonderful Italian menu. The caesar salad is dressed perfectly with the nice mild white anchovies on the top. We have had the pasta with white clam sauce that was excellent along with the well prepared cod, the tasty scallops and the wonderful eggplant parmesan..(.a real winner) that were all put together just right to please the... Went for lunch while visiting our daughter in Boston. She recommended and she was right. Great food. The meatball panini was the best meatball grinder type dish we have had. Awesome. The Sparkling lemonade was great as well. We will be back for dinner. Great menu. Reasonable prices and great taste.

Came here without reservations for a dinner with my wife and son on a Friday night. They fit us in, telling us that there was a reservation for our table in an hour. We decided to go ahead. It may be my aging eyes, but it was so dim there (and the menu print with poor contrast) that it was... More

The atmosphere is nice and relaxing and the food is full of great flavors. The seafood risotto and whole trout are extremely well prepared, and save room for the fig bread pudding, yum! Ok, the only criticism it is cash only in a world where we are moving away from cash folks, for too many good reasons. Anyway, good job.

We live within walking distance and I was curious how a fine dining establishment could sustain itself despite the customer unfriendly policy of no credit cards. The room was pleasant and comfortable. Our server was efficient and friendly, even chatty (though this was 5:30 on a Sunday so hard to generalize from that to other times when they may be... More
