The stars allied. It was Mother's Day. My wife was giving a piano recital. And my mother was visiting. It called for the big guns -- the great place -- the ideal meal. And so we went to one of our top picks, Pomodoro's in Brookline. This is an unpretentious but lovely and warm small Italian restaurant with very limited... More

This restaurant can be like a home away from home. Yes, occasionally it's quite noisy because it's popular. But go there on a weeknight, instead of Saturday, or go on the early side and it's good. It is romantic, hip and friendly, with really good food, drinks and a great vibe. The bartender and waiters are great, particularly Sam, and... More

Shared dinner with friends: 2 of us had pasta dishes, third had the sea scallops. All of us enjoyed our meals: commented that they were all rich with good cheese, truffle or mushroom flavors. Crusty bread and olive oil and olives shared over an excellent red wine. Restaurant is small and was noisy as a result; had to have conversation... More

Despite its location in suburban Brookline this place has a great atmosphere. The clientele consists of locals who know that this is the best Italian restaurant in the area and makes for a relaxed unpretentious rxperience. The food is consistently good and there is enough variety on the menu to satisfy whatever you feel liken from a one course after-work... More

Went with another couple ... we all got different pasta dishes --- we all felt the food was good - but super expensive - Portions are okay - not big, not small. Restaurant is very small and tight and we sat by the open kitchen and it was terribly hot.

I've been here a few times now but came for a family dinner here and was very impressed. The bread and olive oil is delicious and the food was very good! Service here is great, and the space is very small, so that adds to the ambience (without being noisy and crowded). One word of advice is to have cash... More

This is a lovely, small restaurant in Brookline Village. The food was excellent with a beautiful presentation. The menu offers seafood, pasta and several vegetarian options. We were a large group and the service was outstanding. Our waiter was attentive, patient and charming. I would recommend Pomodoro and am planning to return soon!
