Authentic Italian cuisine for an amazing price

I still cant believe how amazing and authentic this Italian food is. Not only you get to eat very fresh and delicious food, but you will be surprised by the bill. This is an authentic little Italian deli/takeout/restaurant with wonderful food. It was filled w/locals, some of whom did not speak English at all, and ordered in Italian. They have wonderful deli salads and pasta dishes, as well as desserts. Also, specials of the day on pasta, etc. for only $5.00. I had pasta w/chicken and red sauce. The sauce was... More

This little corner Italian restaurant feels more like a take out/ grocery store. The meals are inexpensive and the menu extensive. Non existent service , would probably be better as take out. Food was served barely warm - it was okay but would never go back. Also no restrooms for customers?

This place is wonderful on so many levels. It is pretty easy to miss so make sure you're looking for it as you stroll down Harvard Street! It's an authentic little Italian joint run by some guys who are straight from Italy. They have deals on certain days where you can mix and match pastas and sauces for just $5!... More

Just randomly popped in here for lunch today and was delighted to find good value, authentic simple Italian cooking close to my new apartment. The produce for sale is a nice bonus too. Reminds me of a little place at home I thought I would miss terribly... maybe not!

We were visiting Boston and stumbled upon this small restaurant. It was a GREAT experience. The nightly special was Lasagna, and it was the best lasagna I have ever eaten. I would definitely recommend it to others. My friend tried the Chicken Alfredo, and that was great too. We would go back if we were ever in the Boston area.

If you like Italian food, you won't want to miss this restaurant in Brookline! The pasta is filling, pretty large portion size and a great value. Wednesdays and Sundays they have a special for $5 pasta- an unbeatable value for any restaurant in the Boston area. Their paninis are massive too. Every time I've been there the food is served... Yes, the pasta sauces are that good. The other reviewers are accurate . More Italian than a lot of the North End. Wonderful soups and hot entrees too. This is about bold rich favors. Hearty portions great prices. Ambience is plain. It is simply about the food. And that very bland bread? Also authentic. Mangiare bene.

Doesn't look like much from the outside but man oh man do these folks know Italian food. They have a range of wonderful sandwiches plus pasta and other Italian specialties like stuffed peppers, and I've never had anything here that was anything less than spectacular. Just unbelievably good. Wednesdays and Sundays I believe they have cheaper prices for pasta. Wonderful... More
