Truly first class food at modest prices in a cosy pub atmosphere - what could be better?

We came at dinnertime on a Monday evening (when from 5-7 pm oysters are free to folks sitting at the bar) and were very lucky to be seated at the bar (to say Murphy's is 'busy' on Monday evenings is a gross understatement!) and somehow, despite the sheer volume and crush of customers, they... read more

My family and I stopped here for lunch. When we walked in the Pub was fairly empty. There was only one waiter who also acted as the bar tender and the bus person. We placed our order and waited and waited and waited. Food was served sporacticly. Although the food was tasty not one of my party of 9 ate... More

Great spot for a drink and a bite. Small place, but cozy. Decent-sized bar. And good amount of tables. The food is mostly Irish, but with a little but of a twist. Shrimp sliders were awesome. And the shepherd's pie was really good too. Our server was the man, made a great experience. And trivia night on a Wednesday made... More

We visited this charming establishment recently while in Boston for the Notre Dame Boston College football game. We had lunch and it was delicious. The food is homemade and creatively presented. The owner and staff couldn't have been more friendly and generous. After we finished eating and had paid our bill the owner arrived with complimentary beers and a lovely... More

We've been here a few times over the years and have always enjoyed it, even more so now that we've traveled to Ireland and can appreciate how authentic it really is (both in terms of the cuisine, the ambiance, and the warmth and friendliness of the staff). You can't go wrong with the grilled sandwiches, and the traditional dishes are... More

Free Oysters every Monday night during happy hour, Tuesday is Trivia night... Something fun almost every night of the week. The food is excellent, a sort of gourmet version pub fare and the staff is very friendly. Nice bar as well.

This is that one small joint that you really can't afford to miss . DONT MISS THIS PLACE . Although we came to quench a thirst , the food visuals were " comfort art." Beer is fresh.... But do yourself a favor .. Order a Manhattan. The last drink , chew that cherry ... It's an experience in itself ..... More

What is this 1983? Who even has a cash only place anymore when you can wirelessly pay at a restaurant. Totally had to slow down our order so I didn't have to pay there $3 withdrawal fee for cash. Server was awful, had to flag him down multiple times to get anything from them. House made ketchup has cinnamon and... More

Brilliant local Brookline pub with excellent food, great beer selection and an authentic Irish/British feel to it. Just remember, they only take cash but there are two ATMs across the road from the pub.
