The Daily Catch was one of the restaurants listed near our hotel. When we inquired at the front desk for a recommendation of this restaurant, it was given an immediate 'thumbs up.' We walked the several blocks, nice weather, and were fortunate to be seated immediately. Shortly after the restaurant was full. We never heard of Calamari meatballs, but tried... More

Love, LOVE the Daily Catch. Please understand that this location is truly a hole-in-the-wall -- a few tables, very casual with a varied crowd of patrons, all practically in swoon at the flavors. Trust me: It is wise to arrive early and secure your spot in line outside. If you are with a group, have the driver drop you off... More

My perennial feeding pilgrimage in this fantastico italian Brookline post still sends me to pasta ecstacy. The food is simply 'mama mia',delivering the freshiest seafoods and pastas. One slurp of the linguine with its perfecto white clam sauce gives me the chills down the stomach, most satisfying indeed! BEWARE, SEATS ARE LIMITED! EARLY BIRD GETS THE WORMS!

Ever since the demise of The Village Fish in Brookline/Arlington/Needham, we've been looking for a high quality seafood restaurant. This fits the bill perfectly. The food was outstanding. Several of us had the Vongole Neapolitan and were not only pleased, but surprised. The red sauce was full of flavor. This place is the original Brookline seafood joint. A small, intimate... More

Recently visiting Boston, staying nearby, and wanted a good seafood restaurant. Based on TA recommendations, gave this place a try, and were not disappointed. Small (8 tables) place with open kitchen and I really enjoyed watching chef and chatting with him a bit. Good basic seafood (e.g. fried calamari appetizer), inventive specials and sides (e.g. marscapone risotto), and friendly service.... More

The funny thing is, the Daily Catch has some kind of cachet around Brookline and Boston. I am at a loss to know where this phoney buzz comes from. We decided to have dinner in this little hole in wall place( which is not a slight, as I know a lot of very good holes in walls) on Harvard Street... More

We have been to the other Daily Catch in Boston and really liked it. We had never been to this location before although we were told that it had been there for a long time. We will be back! If you want great, fresh sea food this is the place. The restaurant is very small but we were there about... More

Recommended by hotel and it did not disappoint; pasta and seafood and fried calamari were very good. Good wine and beer list....beer was cold! Service excellent. Small place and luck of the draw to get a table. I would go back if I am in that area again.

Fantastic value for money, simple fare brilliantly prepared, great presentation in the pan at the table. Warm and friendly. At the money it can't be beaten. Oh that there were more places like this. This place is a must-go-to for me every trip to Boston. Try the black pasta agile olio. Heaven on a plate.

I have tried countless fried calamari in my life in places such as Greece, Cyprus, Middle East.... But the daily catch ones were the best I have had by miles. They were so good. The shrimp linguini clam sauce was also amazing. This restaurant is definitely my favorite in Boston
