A hidden gem

So, where to eat breakfast? We just happened to see this place on the way out of town. If you are tired of the usual omelettes, try the Turkish ones. Very tasty. The staff was very friendly. The buffet and desserts look wonderful, but we have to catch a plane. Next time, for sure.

We've been coming to this place on and off for thirty years, back when it was owned by a Greek family their Greek salads were the best in the state. Now that it's opened under a Turkish banner, we've found that ordering a shepherd's salad with their greek salad creates pretty much the best salad going. The chicken souvlaki is... More

Went there for a couple of times and liked it. So we decided to go there for my husband's B-day and invited 2 more couples. One of our guest is allergic to gluten. When she asked our waitress what she can recommend the response was: "we are not going to serve you food. Our owner -chef is not letting us... More

We went there with our Turkish friend and he really loved it! So I am not Turkish but since he said it is great I believed him It really tasted great to me and the portion is huge! They have great menu and it is really delicious. From restaurant name you really don't know it is Turkish restaurant but it... More

It looks like a hole in the wall diner/luncheonette, but the food is far tastier. Turkish food is not about being pretty, but about flavor, a somewhat spicy rendition of middle eastern fare. It's not particularly cheap (if the room were fancier people would not complain; most Turkish entrees are $17-20, as are the rather largish Turkish Pizzas) but it's... More

Located in Brookline (you could say Boston except if you are from Brookline ) close to the "Brookline Village" D-Line T-Station (like 2 minutes away) you can find this Turkish place... for some people, the best in Boston. You may not notice from outside that its a Turkish place, but once inside the smell (good) tells you about it. Appetizers... More

We typically like informal, middle eastern/greek/turkish restaurants. Usually the food is tasty and the prices reasonable. Here, the food is tasty, although somewhat greasy. It's the prices that are out of whack. They charge "formal, attentive service" prices for a diner-like atmosphere. For the money, you can do much better.

I am still sick to my stomach. We went to eat with my family and ordered the food. The waiters was very nice, the food review was good. Except after they brought the food and we were eating, I noticed a Roach crawling the wall next to us. I caught it by a napkin and went to the manger to... More

Visited the restaurant for an early dinner with the family. Overall the food was quite good and clearly had a homemade touch. The server was friendly and accommodating of our toddler. The only real issue was the ridiculously high prices. For example, I ordered a platter which included rice, some vegetables and mediterranean style meat (doner) which I thought would... More

I've been here twice in the past two weeks. The food is amazing and I could shish kebabs all day long but the Mediterranean entrees are expensive, close to $20 each. Surprisingly, the American dishes are cheap and very good. You can get a burger for around $7 and it might be the best burger in the Brookline Village area,... More
