I am a huge thai food fan, and this place is easily in my top 3 favorite places (including those in California). The first time I tried Dok Bua, I ordered it for delivery. They were very quick - much faster than the 45min they advertised on their website - and everything was delicious. I ordered the spicy basil chicken,... More

A group of friends meet one Friday monthly at a pre selected restaurant in or around Boston to catch up and hang out. This month we selected Dok Bua That Kitchen based on information from Trip Advisor. When we arrived I went to wash my hands and was "....concerned ..." about the state of the backroom where the slop sink... More

We had a great night, not due to the place but the company we were in. Our food was delivered in part - the first three entree's came out together and then the fourth about fifteen to twenty minutes later. That was weird to begin with as all of us could not start our meal at the same time. Then... More

If you want your taste buds to feel like you are in Thailand again, you must eat here. Maybe its not so fancy and the menus looks outdated, but the food is so authentic and delicious. I was so happy to find a place that know how to use the right spices and flavors that makes you feel in the... More

Huge menu. Lots of interesting choices. Fast service. A bit of a bustle. Seems to be a hot take-out restaurant as well as sit-in. Service was great and we didn't have to wait long for the kitchen. Will return.

If you love authentic Thai food, served at the best price around Boston, Dok Bua will become your new favorite restaurant. Dok Bua means "Lotus flower" in Thai, which is fitting for this hidden jewel. The Lotus flower, while rooted in the mud, is able to rise up above the murky water and yield a flower of beauty. The Dok... More

I was in Brookline last weekend helping my daughter move, and we were looking for some good, light Thai Food, when we stumbled upon Dok Bua. It had received Best in Boston 2011 and 2008, so we thought oh boy, we are in for something good. What a disappointment it was! The food was very greasy, and the peanut sauce... More

This is a great little place for quickly served, savory Thai food. Service was attentive. There is a separate large vegetarian section to the menu. This is not thje choice for a romantic dinner, but it is a great place to come with a bunch of folks for a lively, tasty Thai meal and dishes so good you won't want... More

A 5 star restaurant this is not, but if you are looking for fantastic Thai food at an affordable price, Dok Bua is the place. The atmosphere leaves a little to be desired (diner-style furniture and a menu with helpful, if cheesy looking, pictures), but I've never had a bad dish served here. While I'm generally a big fan of... More

Read the reviews and went with a party of four having booked beforehand. Shown to a table right by the drinks fridge for the take-out business (which could have been cleaner). I could see we would be disturbed every time someone wanted a drink. Given nasty looking menu's with unappetising pictures of each course. Waitress came over and shouted "Do... More
