Best Thai in Brookline

Best Thai food I've had in Brookline. Their Pad Thai is always solid and their curries are really good. It's also a really good deal since the portions are large!

Something negative has happened to this restaurant, which several years ago got raves and now, based on our recent experience, is no longer to be recommended. Our Crispy Duck with Tamarind Sauce, Onion, Pineapple, and Ginger featured dry, tough pieces of duck; our Crispy Chicken Stir Fried with pineapple, onion, cashews in a Thai sweet sauce featured dry chicken.Tofu Pad... We are familiar with good Thai food. We ordered a few selections. One item was Sai Krog I-sarn (North Eastern food), but we were given Sai-Oua (Northern food). These are different in taste and ingredients. The restaurant should not cheat the customers. Many people are not familiar with Thai food will eat whatever the kitchen gave to them. Stir-fried egg plants... More

Had a very nice meal at Dok Bua last night. Ordered the basil and chili chicken and was very pleased that it was as tasty as my favorite Thai place in New York! The staff were attentive and the food was ready quickly. It's not a super fancy place and the prices were very reasonable. Would definitely dine there again!

Fast, inexpensive; BYOB; funky and flavorful. unpretentious. old fashioned, basic decor; new yorkers will feel at home.

Although there is no shortage of great restaurants in Brookline, this is where I go 95% of the time whenever I'm at Coolidge Corner. I love Thai food and all too often find Thai restaurant menus to be limited and practically identical, and the flavors adapted for the general American palate - too sweet or not spicy enough. Dok Bua... More

I have eaten at Dok Bua a number of times; the food is always good and fresh. This visit we got take out and I really loved having complimentary ginger tea served while we waited. The staff is friendly, the service is fast. I've never had a bad meal here. For my daughter, who lives in the neighborhood, this is... More

Very fast service, food was delicious (I had the dinner special in order to try out more distinct dishes), tea was lovely (I was thrilled to discover that they had a decaf green). Not the most comfortable seating or rarefied atmosphere, but I was looking for something casual and comfortable where I wouldn't feel awkward eating alone, and this fit... More

We had our luncheons here about half a dozen of times in the past 6 months. Its location is more than 40 miles from our home, so considering that is a good sign. • The food is good, not that great • The money is OK • Service is very friendly and accommodating • We don’t think much about ambience...
