I came here for brunch a few weeks ago, and was sadly disappointed by the service and food. The menu selection is small, which isn't a huge deal, but it would have made a bigger difference if the food was cooked thoroughly. Our waitress was definitely on the slower side, and still got a couple of things wrong. I was... More

The setting was wonderful and the beverage menu was comprehensive. The food was excellent, but I ordered a dish with bluefish in a chowder sauce with sausage and clams... I got a 1"x2" piece of fish in corn chowder and two small slices of sausage...no clams to be seen...it was very tasty, but very small, and not $25 dollars worth... More

We've been there twice already. And we wouldn't hesitate to come back again. Food: simple, straight-forward, amazing. One of the few restaurants in Boston/Brookline that will serve a steak authentically rare! Service: friendly, informative always willing to answer questions about the menu. Add to that a decent beer selection beyond the usual Sam Adams/Harpoon that you typically find in restaurants... More

We visited this restaurant with some friends. They don't take reservations so the wait for a table of 6 was 45 minutes at 7:30pm on a Wednesday night. Cocktails were okay but not excellent, but the wine selection was good and the glass I had with dinner was quite nice. For dinner I went with the recommendation of the host... More

LOVE this place. Great, diverse crowd, really cozy room & atmosphere. The food is stellar (I'm a vegetarian & they have plenty for me too!) & the bartenders are superb & make the BEST cocktails, bar-none. (thanks Stewie, Ethan & Connor!!)

Great food. Great wine. Great service! Local gem. Farm to table. The beef marrow to start is an absolute must. If that's all you had, you'd have had a fantastic meal. Add to it the goat chop and sausage and you're over the top.

While in town on business we found the Washington Tavern. Not only is the atmosphere inviting and comfortable but they have an outstanding cocktail menu and dinner menu. Had a fantastic gun cocktail and an even better meal of scallops, brussels spouts and apple hash- it was phenomenal. The service was polite and timely as well. Would definitely recommend to... More

Scrumptious, locally sourced food paired with great drinks - a combination hard to beat! This is a wonderful gem in the heart of Brookline and shouldn't be missed. Cozy, friendly atmosphere that is great for families, couples, friends or anyone for that matter. Doesn't take reservations so you need to either get there early or be patient.

After moving to Boston in June 2013, my husband and I have eaten at WST twice and a third time with company, who also rank the restaurant as one of their favorites in the world. We love that the menu changes seasonally and have had everything from lamb, clams, seafood stew to burgers, all which were delicious. The atmosphere is... More

Another gem in Brookline. Fantastic pub that offers character and atmosphere. The lamb chops are superb and my colleague raved about the chicken gumbo. Wonderful bar and offers so much class.
