Super good!

Went on a sister date here with my little sis. Food was awesome and this place wasn't too far from her apartment. We lucked out when we went because they had beignets with coffee anglaise, which was liquid coffee ice cream. They were amazing! I love a place with rotating specials, especially of the... read more

Staff were consistently near-by, but somehow remained inattentive. I had the roasted chicken stuffed with mushrooms. Both were undercooked and overly salted. Salt seemed to be the only seasoning. For $24 for a chicken dish, my expectation were high. My companion's burger sat upon a soggy bun. We were seated near the door which remained open on a chilly evening.... More

First place we walked in as it was closer to the car! So it was not really a choice but what a surprise inside! Staff very friendly and helpful. We had to wait only 20 minutes which on Saturday night in Brookline is excellent! The lights are kept very low here so you do not see much of people's faces...... More

Very pleasant, classy pub food. Menu changes seasonally, with emphasis on fresh ingredients. Can get crowded at times. No television, which is refreshing for a bar.

Our friends who live in Brookline brought us here on a rainy Saturday for some beer and burgers, and we were very pleased with both here. The atmosphere is very cozy with a beautiful bar and dark wood all around. The beer selection was good - several drafts and even more bottle choices. The wine menu also looked diverse. All... More

The tavern is a great place for lunch or dinner with fast friendly service and a hands-on owner who many night can be found at the bar leading a wine tasting party.
