A nice upstairs/downstairs storefront neighborhood vibe place with a nice reasonable Italian oriented wine list with an emphasis on the Piedmont. Tasty nicely reduced Ribolitta, red and green salad with a delicious viniagrette, and an excellent featured short rib tagliatelle bolognese with nice pieces of slow cooked short rib. The mixed seafood "vongole" pasta with bread crumbs didn't match up... More

We had gone to La Morra 3 or 4 times several years ago and liked it. Then it just fell off our radar. Perhaps because of its inauspicious location on a seedy heavily trafficked section of Route 9 approaching Brookline Village. If you live in the suburbs you have to want to go there in early evening to dine or... More

I did enjoy it. We did have some hiccups. We sat at the bar and had a Martini drink but came in a regular glass with ice. It was the house special drink but we both did not love it. I did not finish mine and we both ordered wine after. Despite not drinking it all and saying so, we... More

This is a neighborhood Italian restaurant located on the inbound side of Route 9 in Brookline. Don't expect the typical red saucy and mozzarella topped food. Having said that, they do have a very tasty bolognese on homemade pasta. There is a very comfortable bar section where you can also order off the full menu. There are several "house" cocktails... This restaurant is a beautiful, hidden gem. The food is spectacular. My favorites are: Appetizers: Arancini Di Riso Fried stuffed risotto with braised beef and cheese Polpette Tuscan meatballs with porcini and prosciutto Pasta: (recommend 1/2 portion for single individual) Tagliatelle Al Ragú Housemade tagliatelle with bolognese Cavatelli Con Sugo D’ Agnello Housemade cavatelli with lamb sugo, raisins, toasted pine... Having tasted a sample at a theater production in the school next door, we finally go to try this restaurant on our way in to Boston. With an extensive an a bit pricey wine list to compliment a fine range of dishes and salads. We find that good sampling to the Bolognese pasta is a check of the restaurant bona... More

Service not too rushed and very friendly. Everything we tried was really tasty. We had two appetizers between three and a main each which was plenty for all. We sat upstairs and nice atmosphere.

Midway through a pleasant meal, I became confused and angry over my lack of a dish when the second course was served. I had forgotten that while I chose a two course meal, my family had selected to share a three course meal. The waitress properly paired my second/final course with the third course. Thinking I had been slighted, I... More

Ladies night brought us out to la morra recently. The service was absolutely fantastic and the cocktails to die for! The food was also ok - lots of small plate options and really great meat dishes. Italian small plates place is hard to resist. I do think the quality of the service alone is worth visiting. Parking can be interesting... More

We went with another couple. Everybody selected a different starter and main. Everyone was really happy with their choices. Service was good disputed a large group upstairs. We look forward to returning on our next trip to Boston.
