My girlfriend and I just had a fantastic dinner at La Morra in Brookline. We chose La Morra after a recommendation from a native Italian friend raved about it. Having just returned from a vacation near La Morra Italy we were thrilled to find such a traditionally Italian menu. It is not really regional specific as it tends to draw... more

We were a party of 5, on a busy Friday night. All the food was wonderful. We had risotto with morels and thyme, nicely seasoned and perfectly al dente. Wood grilled lamb with chick pea frites was also very tasty. Our table was comfortable, and close to a window. But there is so little room between tables that it was... more

This place is wonderful, very traditional and very homey food. The crowd is a bit chi-chi, but the food more than makes up for it. The menu runs the gamut from light to rich, and does them all very well. Don't go there expecting Bertucci's or another cookie cutter Italian-American restaurant that you find in the North End. If you... more

As a native New Yorker, accomplished Italian cook and a frequent traveler to Italy, I really KNOW Italian food. My meal there, with my husband and son on a crowded Saturday night was outstanding. Everything was done with perfect seasoning, presentation and taste. I can't wait to return! My only complain is that I wished I shared the main entree.... more

lip89 is complete wrong. it may be crowded sometimes, but only because its so good , people cant stay away. understandably service might be a little slow when there are private parties going on, seeing as the small kitchen has to put out like 50 dishes at the same time. its not worth missing, food is great and portions are... more

expensive, but absolutely worth it. a reservation is a must, and parking can be tricky without using the valet, but the food is amazing and the atmosphere is sweet and romantic. more

I recently went to La Morra for my birthday dinner with my girlfriends. It was such a great meal! They have great tapas style starters and a good selection of Italian wines by the glass. We all enjoyed our salads and entrees as well. They even brought us a second dessert for the table, since we could not decide between... more

My wife and I received a gift certificate to this restaurant from friends and heard rave reviews. With reservations tough to get, we thought it was going to be great. We arrived on a Friday to find a terrible location with hardly any parking but with valet service. The place is very crowded and very loud with a useless bar... more
