Finally! A deli that actually compares to those in NJ and NY! The corned beef sandwich was excellent as was the pastrami. Served with pickles, cole slaw and good deli mustard, this deli is a definate winner! I've tried numerous delis in the Boston area, and NOTHING compares to the quality, taste and value of this restaurant.

Zaftigs has excellent "diner" and comfort food and if you can get in when there's no wait, I highly recommend it. Stuffed French Toast and potato pancakes are excellent! But on weekends, the wait can be an hour or more. It's not THAT good...

We had a blast on Mother's Day. My wife stumbled onto Zaftigs while going to Kupel's for bagels. The place filled quickly and the line went out the door on a rainy morning. I tried an open faced BLT anointed with a fried egg. It was good enough that I want to go back.

We went here Sunday morning (Mother's Day) and were there when the doors opened. Within minutes, the place was packed and we know why: great food, speedy service, and lovely atmosphere. Great take-in and down the street from Kupel's Bakery!

I've tried Zaftigs for breakfast and lunch, both were very good. The food is well prepared and very fresh. The onion rings were the best, you could actually taste the onion over the batter. I loved the BBQ beef brisket sandwich, so good. Our entire table was happy with the meal.

My husband and I finally tried Zaftigs last night, after living in the neighborhood for more than a year. We noticed the restaurant upon first moving to the area but were always put off by the long lines of people standing out on the sidewalk, waiting to get in. We went on a Monday night to avoid crowds and were... More

My sister and I dined at Zaftigs two months ago. We went on a Sunday morning around 9:30am and thought we'd for sure get in right away. It was already very busy; we had to wait about 15 minutes, which wasn't bad, but it was surprising that it was that crowded so early in the morning. I had seen their... More

There is something for everyone here, chicken matzo ball soup is good, as are cheese blintzes and stuffed cabbage. Service can be slow but they are friendly. Make sure and put enough money in the meter, you will be ticketed.

Went there with 4 adults and 4 kids. Everybody loved their food. Hamburger ($12) was outstanding, Knish was delicious albeit tiny for $2.95 by my Brooklyn NY standards. Sandwiches ($10-$14) and omelettes ($10) great. Nice desserts at the register for takeout and less expensive (the black and white and $3 cupcakes were great!).

We went for breakfast on a Saturday morning. We have a baby so, of course, we were there a few minutes after it opened and joined the 5 or so other tables of diners. It does fill up fast, so go early if you don't want to wait. I used to live around the corner, so I was hoping the... More
