The Fireplace offers very good and creative food offerings at reasonable prices. We also like that they offer a lot of their items, including starters, in two sizes. The restaurant has a small private parking in the back. It is also a very convenient place to eat on the way to a Redsox game in Fenway Park.

Had a lunch meeting for work. Food was excellent. Everyone loved all of their meals, ranging from salads to sandwiches to my burger - grass fed with VT cheddar. I prefer it well done, and it was perfect, and amazingly tender. Service was excellent and the atmosphere is great for a business meeting, or just a nice social occasion. Highly... More

It was late and we were starving. Ran in at 9:45 and headed for the bar. They stop serving at 10 pm so we didn't know if the would feed us. The bartender, Raffey said, no worries! He is the best! We proceeded to have an awesome meal!! Kale and farro salad was amazing. We like small portions and their... More

Came here last night and it was a nice little place. Had the meat and cheese (aged cheddar and napolitano) and it was mouth watering. I was about to order more but needed to leave room for the rest of the food that I was about to devour. The bread that comes before the food is very good again I... More

Your shoulders drop from the tightness you've been holding all day, as the waiter guides you through what is the special of the night or the best wine to have with your selection of food, he's right and you have a wonderful meal and you glide home satisfied.

We started with kale chips and chicken soup. Then tasted our way through a delightful variety of small plates and appetizers. There is a delightful selection of local wines beers and ciders. I have always wanted to try fiddle heads and they were just in season this week.

I went to The Fireplace for the first time last month with a friend. I had always wanted to try it. I noticed that the majority of patrons were a bit on the older side. There are several different sections of the restaurant. We were on the lowest level on the opposite side of the fireplace next to the stairs.... More

The Fireplace in Brookline is one of my favorite restaurants. I give it near-perfect marks on food, service, and atmosphere. The food is consistently delicious. On a recent visit with friends, I started with the squash soup; it was so good, creamy with some contrasting texture from pumpkin seeds and a few little almost-melted bits cheese. I also had perfectly... More

Great atmosphere, upbeat but not too loud. We were able to carry on a conversation and still enjoy the music as background. Our waiter was attentive, patient and answered all our questions. The food was amazing. One of my daughters and I had the crab cakes....we both asked for seconds and made them our meal. My sons had the burgers... More
