Stopped in here for dinner with wife and toddler. I have generally found the restaurants (especially the smaller local places) to be excellent in the Brookline area. Unfortunately this was not the case here. First the good: 1) Service was friendly and polite. The not so good: 1) The pad thai was honestly among the worst I have ever eaten.... More

About 6 of us girlfriends had dinner at Khao Sarn - food was really good, freshly prepared and some were new to me for Thai Food. Staff is friendly and accommodating. It's a small place but worth a try and the great thing is it's easy to get to….Green line on T and you there ….metered parking all around the... More

We decided to try Khao Sarn on a recent visit to Boston. Despite the mixed reviews, I decided to give it a try as it was conveniently located to where were were staying in Brookline. We were NOT disappointed. Ambiance is very nice & we were promptly seated upon arriving at our reserved time. Our waitress was friendly & very... More

Great restaurant! Was only a block away from my hotel. I had the pad thai, which was pretty good. Servers were friendly and attentive. It was nice to have a big screen TV over the bar as I was dining solo. I would definitely come back to try more things on the menu.

An excellent option for Thai food and wine. Couples, larger groups and families filled the bright, colorful dining room the night we were there.

WONDERFUL noodle dishes. The pad kee-mao was rated with three chili peppers out of three. We ordered it with medium heat and extra hot sauce on the side. It was fine that way. The shrimp and broccoli in oyster sauce was bright and colourful, but bland. It was good to have the extra hot sauce. Rice cost extra. I would... More

The restaurant is well located and has a nice atmosphere. My coconut chicken soup was the worst I have ever had but the pad Thai was fantastic. Had the soup been better my overall rating would have been much more generous.

We were exploring the neighborhood in search of a possible restaurant for dinner. We came upon Khao Sarn, noticed a Zagat rating, and decided to give it a try. I am very particular about my pad thai, and theirs did not disappoint. We also ordered the coconut seafood. Yes, the food is served INSIDE the coconut! Fun and unique. The... More

Visiting Boston, Brookline area, Khao sarn was recommended by friends. It is truly excellent. Masaman curry first rate, simpler dishes, soups all tasted fresh, well spiced. Service warm, welcoming. A very good choice to which I will return.

High quality thai. Full of flavor. Try the Duck Red Curry, Beef Pad See Ew, or Indonesian Fried Rice.
