Very good Japanese food!

This was the second or third time we had been to the restaurant. We usually sit at a small table in the main area but we had a party of 8 and decided to try for a "tatami" room (need 8). Fear not, the area under the table has been "dug out" so you don't have to sit with your... More

Friendly and knowledgeable service who helped us to navigate the menu. This must really have been the best Japanese restaurant we have visited. Long open hours. Many veg options, which is crucial to us. Fabulous food!!

One of my favorite places in Boston! We lived there for 9 years, so we have been to Fugakyu many times. Its just great - amazing food, service, everything is well done here. We no longer live in Boston, and we miss this place..

Based on the recommendation of the owners of our B&B, my wife and I enjoyed a Friday night dinner. We didn't have reservations, but they were able to seat us quickly, despite being busy. The service was especially friendly. The decor was interesting, and inviting, and the pleasant atmosphere helped shorten our wait for the meals. Both meals were very... More

I went here with friends and food and service were both good. Good sushi selection. Our waitress was excellent and very polite. This is a large restaurant which is hard to find in a city like Boston. Even though it is large, it has an intimate feel that is great for dining out with friends or dining as a couple.... More

Food was very good, selection was perhaps overly large ( can start to feel like a diner) We were seated on the top floor of this huge restaurant.. There are several intimate spaces though so it doesn't feel massive. Our waiter Ivan was excellent, non intrusive and polite. I would go again

Fun place to go in a group - get a private room. Menu is extensive. Rustic Americana sushi - as opposed to trendy or gourmet or authentic Japanese business man sushi. Still fills a need for consistently prepared average or just above average sushi in a hygienic and slightly trendy locale.
