A true Washington Square landmark

It is one of the better Chinese restaurants. It is a big place so wait is never too long. They have a valet parking and the service is good. Their signature dishes are definitely very good.

Way too expensive re the bar drinks. 2 blue ? came to almost 24.00. Peking ravioli are mini size, and can fill one side of your mouth only. NOT a good deal money wise. Waiters "do their job", but that's about it. Food is not bad, but prepare to feel cheated re the misc items. Nothing positive to really recommend... More

I have been going to "The temple" since 1987 although I must admit that it was a lot more frequent when I was younger. They continue to keep up their consistency of offering good food though som times they are lacking in service due to a language barrier between chinese and english but this seems to happen at most foreign... We love this place as they consistently produce tasty dishes. Although pricey, and for some things very pricey, the food and service are always very good.

Some things remind of us of growing up and that's always comforting .. Traditional Cantonese Chinese food is a thing of bygone days .. For the young it's Sushi .. There is nothing wrong with sushi but that's Todays new go to .. The food at the golden temple is heavy , and perhaps full of too much salt but... More

I have been going to the Golden Temple since it was half it’s present size…that must be at least 35 years. As such, I believe I can speak with authority on this very personal matter. This is not just a restaurant to me…it is part of my childhood, adolescence and now…grown-up-ness. In one regard, one must respect a restaurant that... More

I remember this was the place I would get my Chinese food fix from. So when I landed in Boston for a visit, this is the first place I wanted to go to as there are no decent Chinese food restaurants in Naples, Florida. But what a disappointment it was...very mediocre.

Had dinner with a friend who was visiting from out of town and had been here before. I was very impressed. It's a pretty big place. Our server was friendly and attentive. We wound up splitting a few dishes. We each had Hot and Sour soup to start. It was just ok and actually tasted kind of sweet to me.... More

Title of this review says it all. Hands down, the best Chinese food I have ever had. Has real flavor and tastes fresh. I love their Szechuan eggplant! Pricier than your average takeout Chinese place, but then, it isn't your average takeout Chinese place. Would definitely recommend. Also, the place has a bar and dance floor. Haven't visited that side... More

The golden temple ribs are a must even for $19.95. After that we found the meals to be OK, a little bland. The service was very good.
