So when you're out and about on the town with your friends, after your last couple of rounds - you'd think your only options would be fast food, kebab or something-something Asian.. If you're out and about in Brookline past most people's bedtime, in addition to these late night staples, you'll find the Abbey waiting to meet all of your... More

We ate with friends outside in front in a roped-off area of the sloping sidewalk. It was a funky setting, but the weather was crisp and gorgeous for August in the Boston area. The food was beautifully presented and very flavorful. We gorged on the truffle fries and loved the grilled asparagus. The Bison Bolognese and roasted cod dishes were... More

Decent food. We had falafel, tuna melt, grilled cheese and tomato soup, fish taco. There could be more of a selection for vegetarians. Note that they do not serve dessert here. Fortunately Nathan's pastries or Emack and Bolio ice cream are close-by.

Staying just round the corner from the Beacon St restaurant, on vacation from Scotland ,I discovered it at 11.30 pm last night , hungry after a show at the House of Blues ( Brandon Flowers actually-stellar ). Still serving food, in fact serving food until 1.30. A great buzz from the local crowd. But welcoming to incomers . Like the... More

We visited Boston for the weekend. We started out stopping here for lunch as it was within walking distance from our hotel and it had great reviews. It is a small place, but a comfortable, nice atmosphere. It was a nice surprise to see that they had Spencer's on tap! We can't get this beer at home and it is... More

I went there with friends and young children for the first time this weekend, and although the place has a very nice wooden and well done bar interior, they were very welcoming of our childish group for lunch with helpfulness and accommodation. The Irish bartender dished out string french fries and water in plastic for the 3 children right away,... More

The staff makes this place great. The beer selection is thoughtful but not niche. The truffle fries and cod fritters are excellent.

For dinner we started wish appetizers, pork bellies with wasabi, chicken wings and short rib dumplings. The pork bellies were the best but the wings and dumplings came in a close second. I ordered the hamburger medium rare with truffle fries. The hamburger actually was cooked medium rare. The truffle fries were also seasoned with grated Romano cheese and were... More

I like the Abbey. The food is good, the service is fine to good. the diverse menu makes it a repeat, go-to place. Noise level is too high.
