I ate here for lunch on Sunday and it was very good. Everything was authentic: beer, spaetzle, pretzels, and schnitzel. Flavorful, huge portions and great service. My kind of place!

Took my son there for a special meal. Started off with fondue and brat's. I ordered the cabbage rolls and he had the French dip. I've had the cabbage rolls before and they were good but, this time they were luke warm and didn't taste fresh. My son was so full from the fondue he just wanted to doggy bag... More

We received very good service and good food while having dinner tonight. The pretzel fondue, veal schnitzel, beer and sausages were very tasty!

Gustav's has the look and feel of a chain restaurant. I don't know if it is or not; but, it doesn't matter. We found the restaurant appealing and the food very good. We started out with the large Bavarian pretzel which came with a delicious sweet and spicy mustard and an order of the cabbage rolls. Then, my wife had... More

Had the potato pancakes and apple sauce for brunch, very well presented and the flavor was amazing. We were greeted promptly and seated quickly on a Friday late afternoon. Server was very pleasant. Definitely worth the price.

Gustav's is on our "Must Go" list for every time we visit Vancouver. Great Happy Hour menu and fantastic selection of German beers. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere.

We're not real familiar with the dining offerings in Vancouver USA so my wife selected this restaurant from the Trip Advisor site. We entered and decided to sit at the bar for our meal and I was glad that we did. While I didn't remember the names of all of my favorite beers from Germany (I was stationed there for... More

Gustav's is a good German food restaurant in Vancouver, I have tried so many things on the menu, but my favorite are the cabbage rolls and the fondu.

Took mom their for her bday. Expensive for what you get. I'm not a sauerkraut fan and asked if I could sub, only veggie they offered was grilled cauliflower. Got a house salad for add'l $ and it was wilted and brown and not the dressing I requested...don't know if I'll be back.

Gustav's has a large menu of very tasty food, much of it with a German emphasis. I have eaten lunch, dinner and Happy Hour here. All offer excellent choices. Happy Hour is available throughout the restaurant during specified hours. We usually go to the Vancouver location, but have eaten at two locations in the Portland area. The menu is basically... More
