Intimate setting and good food

A friend took me to dinner here and we enjoyed a meal in a comfortable setting. The service was fine, nothing outstanding, but acceptable. The food, which I'd heard was outstanding was, to me, average. I would call it a light meal, if you are very hungry, go for something with larger servings. My... read more

Great reviews made me excited to eat here. I grew up in Hawaii spending my 1st 20 years of my life on Oahu. Oh how disappointed I was. Teriyaki in Hawaii is not dry and overly salted meat smothered in a sugary sauce! The flavor is built into marinating the meat for 24-36 hrs in advance of cooking it. You... More

We came at happy hour, but we soon found that the "Aloha Hour" menu wasn't worth it; the plates were so small that we'd have paid more to get enough food than if we ordered from the regular dinner menu. I had the house special Kahlua pork, and it had a nice taste but that is pretty much all you... More

The sushi is excellent and so were our entrees. One of us got the tofu stir fry over brown rice, one of us got island beef with peanut sauce, soba noodles and curry macaroni salad and one of us got the coconut shrimp with roasted Brussels sprouts and forbidden rice. The forbidden rice was fantastic. The curry macaroni salad not... More

Had lunch there arriving at 130 PM. The wait staff very friendly and seated us rapidly. Menu is very Polynesian oriented. We each ordered the Chicken Cordon blu. Huge side order of french fries with a pleasing look to the large sandwich. Chicken was cold and ham no more thickness then a newspaper. Maybe we expected to much.

If you are looking for the fancy atmosphere of the Roy's (Yamaguchi) restaurants, you will be disappointed... But if you are looking for a a nice, low-key downtown Restaurant/Lounge, (with delightful Pacific Rim foods), Tommy O's is a nice local spot to check out. The Restaurant is on the corner--- while the Lounge is two-doors up... GO for the Happy... More

This restaurant is always terrific - never had a mediocre meal, let alone a bad one! Have had just about every plate on the menu and loved them all! This is a great place for the upcoming holidays as well. Went there last New Year's Eve and had a truly enjoyable, laid-back evening with wonderful food and sounds. Don't miss... More

I just love Tommy O's!! I really like their appetizers and happy hour. The coconut chicken soup is delicious!! I have had the lunch/dinner menu a couple times and you get tons of food so you might want to share a plate if you are not too hungry. As for appetizers I really enjoy the lettuce wraps, coconut shrimp (yummy)... More

We recently went to this restaurant for Happy Hour. The food was very tasty and the prices right on. They have music in the later evening, but the room seemed too small for such loud music. But the food was great!
