For anyone who loves history, this is a fun and lovely stop along the Officer's Row of Fort Vancouver. The food was well presented and very tasty and the atmosphere was nice, other than the music that was playing..... some soft jazz or even classical would have really added, rather than the random, somewhat noisy stuff they were playing. When... More

Stopped in for a cocktail and ended up staying for dinner and listening to some very good, live music by the Peter Schwimmer Trio. The atmosphere is always inviting, service is excellent and the food very good.. I've never been disappointed. If I had one critique, it would be that it is a bit pricey. Happy hour has great food... Food was just OK,nothing more. Expensive and small portions. We are expect to return there, slow service and no refill for our empty water glasses.

It was a nice day so we sat outside and it is pleasant and relaxing. The waiter was very good. The bean risotto was out of this world. I don't expect huge portions but this was small, I could have eaten two of them. But it was so delicious as to make me want to go back anyway. This dish... More

Stopped in for lunch today with my Girl Scout Troop on our trip to explore Fort Vancouver. We were greeted by a young man who promptly went to make a table for our group of eight. The hostess asked us if we'd been helped but didn't make eye contact with anyone in our party. We were sat in a sunroom... More

The Grant House hosted a special event high tea which included a guest speaker. All the guests wore hats and the speaker gave a very nice presentation on the history of hats in this country. The three course tea was hosted in the gardens and all the tables were delightfully decorated. The portions were generous and a favor bag filled... More

Living with celiac is often called "living without". At the Grant House, there are many wonderful gluten free options. No skimping by with a tasteless and poorly presented meal here! Wonderful selection of great NW items that are fresh and beautifully presented. The service is fantastic - and my birthday is coming up in a few days.

I had my wedding June 29th 2014. I could not have asked for a better venue. Many veterans in my family and everyone loved being able to tour Ulysses S. Grants house! Our wedding was magical the food was good and the staff was more than accommodating. Bar tender was amazing and very personable with my guests. I would highly... More

This fine old historic house sits on Officer's Row at the site of Historic Fort Vancouver. Its paek-like setting is relaxing and especially beautiful in Autumn. The food is quite good and the happy hour has offerings that truly are made to share. The "bar" is the cozy library of the old house. Very charming and upscale but comfortable

We hosted my mother's 70th birthday celebration in the Grant House's Sun Room. The room seats a maximum of 14 and is a bit of a squeeze. My mother was so pleased she is still talking about the Grant House, the food and the service! Our waitress Amanda was phenomenal and juggled our cocktails to dinner. Everyone was able to... More
