Apparently this house was built for Ulysses S Grant , but he never actually lived in it. It's a beautiful house and works really well as a restaurant. There is an outside eating area, an extra room set back from the main dining area that has many windows overlooking the back yard. The main dining area where we ate has... More

The Grant House has large, lovely porches and a flower-enclosed back patio--glorious spaces for a summer lunch. Thumbs up on the berry crisp.

Had a pleasant evening having an early dinner on the outdoor porch. Enjoyed the appetizers. Very good food and service. A pleasant night out on the porch

Delicious Food, Beautiful house, and great service! My mother and a friend went for a birthday lunch. We sat outside on the patio next to the garden. We had the house soup with fresh herbs from the garden outside. Our entrees were delicious. But the DESSERTS! OMG. We had cheesecake, a fruit crumble, and the bread pudding. They were each... More

I am not sure what to say. The service was as equally terrible as the food. The best way to describe our experience would be "odd." The waitress was inattentive and frigid. This isn't a a best kept secret - it's a best kept away from.

I am giving my review on happy hour since that is what we went for. It was great to sit on the front porch in the sunshine having a glass of wine and a $1.00 snack! We loved it. Just what we were looking to do on a nice afternoon out.

A lovely old house filled with beautiful antique furniture. The food was average, it was just about the venue.

If you get the opportunity to eat here take it. Service is quaint. The officers Row is prestige and the Fort and the Park are wonderful for a walk afterwards. Especially wonderful during the holidays.

I've been here twice and enjoyed it both times. The first time was on very short notice and we were seated right away. The lunch menu had sandwiches and other lunch specialties. The second time we were late and although we were seated it was not in the sunny part of the restaurant. I'd like to try the place for... More
