The food was wonderful. We were going to pick a favorite dish out of the four we ordered but we couldn't pick just one. Everything was delicious! Service was excellent too.

Chutney's offers a more refined dining experience than any other Indian cuisine venue in Vancouver. The ambiance is tastefully done and the staff are helpful. Our meals were tasty and presented well. Food was hot on arrival ("the first duty of food is to be hot"). Sadly, the nan was old and cardboard-like. This would have been a five star... More

As you can see from my earlier post, that I loved this restaurant. I have since been back, and learned that the original owner (Usha) has moved on, and the food now the food is not as good. It is still the best Indian food in Vancouver, but it is not nearly as tasty as it once was.

I was surprised that our beloved Chutneys appears to have changed hands and yet retained it's name. But after sampling their buffet lunch I was glad to see that the food is still very tasty and the levels of service still seem to be high. I came for lunch with the gal I went to lunch with almost every day... More

As the title inplies. I ordered "Make your eyes water.". and the food was simply slightly hotter than mild. The ingredient quality was OK, but the flavor of the spices was unisnpired. Since the place was patronized by other Indians I was hopeful the food would be better than what I got. If this constitutes good best in the Portland... More

We have eaten at Chutney's three times and have found the food to be outstanding each time. The selection is better than other Indian restaurants and the food is beautiful to look at as well as being quite tasty. The restaurant (even the restrooms!) is tastefully decorated and comfortable. Definitely one of our favorite Indian restaurants anywhere!

Been here a few times. We asked for our food extra spicy and it was not. They did bring us some hot sauce for an entree they said they could not customize, but the curry we ordered was definitely mild. We ordered an appetizer that came after our entree.... they said they would comp it but did not. Food was... More

My wife and I love this place. The staff are extremely friendly, and helpful, and the food is always delicious. If you are new to Indian cuisine, than just ask. We found this restaurant on trip advisor using the i-phone app. The reviews proved to be true! The ambiance is very cozy and inviting, the service excellent and the food was DELICIOUS. There were three people in our party. We each ordered a soup which was very tasty (3rd soup option on the menu, can't remember the name) We also... More

Chutney's introduced me to a whole new world of tastes and deliciousness. I thought I had had Indian food many times before--not true-- our dinner was filled with wondrous edible surprises and layerings of flavor that would slowly explode onto the palate from a single bite. The setting is lovely and elegant-- and we were treated like royalty--it is very... More
