When people ask me what my favorite local restaurant is, I always say Eddie's Diner! It's the only restaurant I go to and have to decide on which of my favorites I should have. Most restaurants you go to, you have one favorite and that's what you order every time. Fish fry on Fridays is a local favorite at any... More

Rare old 1940s metal exterior pullman car style diner with excellent comfort food at unbelievable prices. Family owned friendly atmosphere with booth and stool counter seating. A breakfast/brunch must with daily dinner specials that will bring you back to a time when was made you feel good and dessert was a heavenly ending to dinner.

Eddies is a typical diner in the old style. Booth eating or at the counter. Lots of comfort food. Prices are reasonable. Nothing fancy.

We made this our lunch break between the International Boxing Hall of Fame in Canastota and Ft. Stanwix, which is just a couple of blocks from the diner. Truly a classic diner experience. Earlier positive reviews have said it all. We had breakfast for lunch, and it was great, but we watched the cook carve a crisp, golden, steaming turkey... More

Stumbled upon this while in Rome NY on a business trip. It's a little off the beaten path but its location is parallel to a main street so not hard to find. Parking is a little tricky because the diner is set perpendicular to the street- in other words the lot is very narrow! But when you go inside you'll... More

Eddie's Paramount Diner is a family owned 1940s vintage Pullman Dining Car Diner. While there is a kitchen addition on the rear, the tables, counter seats, short order grill and steam table are all vintage Pullman equipment. For a rail or diner buff that might be enough, but the food is excellent. Breakfast anytime of day, with several lunch and... More

I think the two best aspects of this diner are the food and the fact that its a REAL dining car. they are rare these days and unlike many places, this one uses much of the original equipment! From a historical standpoint, its great. The food is better than greasy spoon and moves into honest to gosh resturant food. They... More
