Italian food in Rome is fantastic

Another Italian restaurant in Rome with very good food. This is the biggest one that I have been to in town but the service was excellent. I ate like I was starving. Rome greens, Cezar salad, Manicotti, fresh garlic bread and two chocolate dipped cannoli for dessert. Life was great last night!

I'm not a big fan of crowded places and I like more variety than Italian. We went here for St. Patrick's Day and it was crowded, but the Irish food was good and there was live music. Everybody goes here at least once. Hillary Clinton ate here, but don't let that stop you.

We purchased a Groupon, and decided to try out the Savoy. It was our first trip, but definitely not our last! We went on a Friday evening ~ Be sure to make a reservation, as the dining room is full! We were seated promptly and served drinks. We chose an appetizer which included calamari, fried mozzarella and bruschetta. Great choice!... More

Good food, good service, popular with the locals. One of Rome's long time well established fine dining restaurants. The Savoy has been a long standing quality restaurant , family owned for several generations , the Destitto family maintains a quality establishment.

Nice place with some good history. They had a nice wine and dine special when we were there. The food was fine and the atomosphere was nice. Especially good for a business traveler.

We brought four other couples to the Savoy for dinner last Saturday night. None had been to this restaurant before as they were all from out of town. We always enjoy ourselves but all our friends were very impressed with the service (Keith is great), the food (terrific), the entertainment and the atmosphere. They all want to visit again. It's... The Savoy is a staple in the Rome dining scene. With slim options in the area, they have always had a good amount of buiness. The majority of my experiences there were positive ones- delicious food at fair prices, friendly service, and homey atmosphere. Even when our meal or the service was off and not up to their usual standards,... More

We've been there before, but this time it was for an office function, and not "order off the menu." I was leary at first - I could see the typical self-serve ziti, etc. But - this was actually very good! The salads were super, with lots of olives, tomatoes, and a really tasty dressing. There were also multiple main course offerings... More

Whether you are interested in steak, spaghetti or just a great atmosphere, the Savoy has it all. Great food and live piano on weekends. The place to go in Rome.
