Great lunch buffet!

My mother and I were staying in Rome for a few days so we stopped in at the Savoy for lunch. It’s a great spot for lunch. The Savoy is a place that oozes old-world Italian atmosphere. The tables have white table cloths and the walls have a collage of framed pictures of performers that have played... read more

First and foremost, this place has a lovely, old-fashioned bar that really is the only reason to visit. Great drinks and occasional soft live music. Unfortunately that's where the awesomeness stops. The decor is dated and schizophrenic, trying to be part sports bar, part antique Air Force eatery, part upscale, and part down-to-earth Italian. Ultimately it feels like you're eating... More

The Savoy is the BEST. Been around over 100 years and still giving guests a great meal for a reasonable price and great service. Fantastic menu of great italian dishes. We really liked the calamari and Utica greens appetizers. Linguini and clams was excellent. Chicken Riggies were super. I will go back again and again whenever I am in Rome.... More

My parents brought me here when I was nine, on the way to the Adirondacks. Now seventy, I live in Ithaca NY and I drive two hours, a few times a year, just to eat at The Savoy.

The Savoy, a staple in Rome for generations, is a great place for a cocktail after work, dinner any evening, family gathering or what have you. We went for a drink and stayed for dinner. The food is always fresh and prepared to order. Hostess Cheryl is very accommodating. The wait staff is exceptional (ask for Keith!). The food never... More

Charming ambiance, first class service and awesome food!! Prices are very reasonable and they serve plenty of food, e.g., their smallest pizza is 16 inches in diameter.

Great food and generous portions! Split the eggplant parmesan, which was delicious. Felt like a heartfelt homemade meal. Recommend highly!

We have been to the Savoy a few times, and after nearly six months happened to be in town again and decided to see if it was as good as we remembered. Mostly it was. the service was a little slower than we recalled, the size of the appetizer of greens a little smaller... but the food was still delicious.... More

$17 wine & dine- glass of wine, soup or salad and entree- can't beat it. The chicken riggies are very good and the portions are huge. Ncie quite, relaxing place for an adult diner.

When in Rome every few years, my husband have always gone to The Savoy and have always ordered (among other things) their "greens and beans": a satisfyingly thick soup of escarole, cannelloni beans, garlicky broth, and grated Romano. Returning tonight, we discovered that The Savoy's greens and beans have morphed into "East Rome Greens." Described as "escarole, prosciutto, garlic, cherry... More
