Whether you are interested in steak, spaghetti or just a great atmosphere, the Savoy has it all. Great food and live piano on weekends. The place to go in Rome.

OK, this is the third and final review in my Rome NY Riggie Quest. Chicken Riggies (rigatoni with a sauce and typically chicken) are a Rome - Utica NY staple; everyone who cooks Italian has their version, and there is much discussion as to who has the best. Well like most such questions, the answers are subjective. Here's my third... More

We have driven through Rome many times and decided to try the Savoy for a late lunch. Saw the 24 inch pizza listed on the menu and decided we had to try it. It was wonderful! Having grown up near NYC, I am pretty particular about pizza and this one didn't disappoint! We are going back for dinner as soon... More

The Savoy in Rome, New York has been around almost a 100 years in an upstate city which has evolved from Erie Canal stop to copper mills to Air Force Base to tech industry. The Savoy in the traditionally Italian part of town has just changed a little. There is still the piano player in the evening, a Manhattan straight... More

Had dinner here last week after touring Ft. Stanwix. Great menu selection. Waitress was very nice. Our dinners were great. And the price is very reasonable. We expected prices to be higher especially considering we were in New York State.

If you like Italian recipes and have a grandma that did some awesome cooking in her day, then you've got to try the Savoy in Rome, NY. My wife and I along with our dearest friends Pete and Cynthia went there after a great day at Green Lakes State Park. We were famished and wanted a good drink and a... More
