Good family style resturaunt in Rome

Food was good. I had the fish fry on a Friday. Decent portions and served hot. Cole slaw was bland. Service was outstanding. The staff handled an large group which grew in number as the evening progressed. It was impressive service. The wait staff also provided separate checks without complaint.

The history of this restaurant goes back over 100 years. Signed photos from Babe Ruth, Yogi Berra to the future Pittsburgh Steelers' players line the walls of this well established institution. The service is impeccable, the food is always consistently good and everything is done to make sure the patrons are happy with their time there. During the week, The... More

Went with daughter and her fiancé. Had the Wine and dine special (appetizer, steak and a glass of merlot for $18) Amazing deal. Steak was a NY Strip with blue cheese and a glaze over mashed potatoes. Great. Order East Rome greens as an ap. The Savoy's take on Utica greens. I liked them better. A little milder with subtle... More

We ate here for the third time this weekend (we are not from the Rome area). We have been very happy with the food, service. and atmosphere at all three visits. The atmosphere is fun, eclectic and unique. It does tend to be a bit loud, making it a great place for families, but it can still be fun and... More

Another Italian restaurant in Rome with very good food. This is the biggest one that I have been to in town but the service was excellent. I ate like I was starving. Rome greens, Cezar salad, Manicotti, fresh garlic bread and two chocolate dipped cannoli for dessert. Life was great last night!

I'm not a big fan of crowded places and I like more variety than Italian. We went here for St. Patrick's Day and it was crowded, but the Irish food was good and there was live music. Everybody goes here at least once. Hillary Clinton ate here, but don't let that stop you.

We purchased a Groupon, and decided to try out the Savoy. It was our first trip, but definitely not our last! We went on a Friday evening ~ Be sure to make a reservation, as the dining room is full! We were seated promptly and served drinks. We chose an appetizer which included calamari, fried mozzarella and bruschetta. Great choice!... More

Good food, good service, popular with the locals. One of Rome's long time well established fine dining restaurants. The Savoy has been a long standing quality restaurant , family owned for several generations , the Destitto family maintains a quality establishment.
