Best in Rome, NY. And has been for decades. It's a great example of the American classic -- family Italian-American restaurant that offers some class but is always friendly. Wait staff are professionals who make you feel at home & the food is much better than you can get at home! Always a pleasure.

Go early or make a reservation, especially on the weekends. This is Rome and Italian at its finest! I've been going here since I was five years old - let's just say many decades... The staff knows and understands the menu very well and will make suggestions and answer all questions. Although I have certain favorite dishes, all the selections... More

Nice atmosphere. Like the piano player. Waitress was very good. Try the Clams Bianco appetizer but ask if it's a white sauce first. I love them but sometimes they arrive in a grey watery sauce which I don't care for. I've learned to ask the waitress. Seems maybe they have several cooks preparing. Anyway they are good.

Original recipes from Italian "MiMas's.... Handed down over decades! Great fresh ingredients always used, many right from the garden at home. Traditional dinning menu's, and a recently added lunch Buffett, which I will be checking out soon!. My family and I have gone to the Savoy for their Easter menu, served " family" style, with an AWESOME dessert bar!!! Don't... More

We came here for the (almost) daily buffet. We had broiled fish that was tasty. I liked the fact that we could have a quick lunch where there with high quality food -and go back to work in less than an hour. Decor is a bit dated but overall a good experience. And the dessert is on the buffet, can't... More

When we came in, the Italian atmosphere got us right away. The waiter was wonderful, funny, efficient, and accomodating. My drink was not as good as I am used to but the caesar salad was great. I have to admit that I was disappointed with the chicken parmesan which was bland. The best was the overall atmosphere, with the piano... More

My girlfriend and I use to go there all the time until last year. The food is so inconsistent - sometimes it is absolutely out of this world and to die for and then other times it's just so so. We stopped going there after a few crummy food experiences and that's just a shame.

I've eaten here a number of times and have always thought the food was very good. It will not rank as memorable but it's consistently satisfying and the portions are large. Today I had the gnocchi special and it was somewhat unusual as the gnocchi were fried and served with a bacon, butter and pea sauce, which was tasty but... More

I visited the savoy and did not know what to expect but figured a number one rating on trip-advisor must mean something. Unfortunately it means number one in Rome New York which is like comparing little league teams in baseball. You might be the best team in your town but your a far cry from the Yankees. I can only...
