A classy favorite in a town with few options

This is one of our favorite places in Rome, elegant without being off-putting to anyone (although looking nice sure adds to the room). A piano player adds to the atmosphere (and is always a bonus so we are not subjected to songs we hate on the radio). The Savoy is large, so it's not too hard to... read more

My family ate here - a rowdy group of 14 - the night before a funeral. We had a private room, a very attentive waitress, the food came out all at once and everything was right and good! I would recommend this place and if I'm ever in Rome again, would go back there. Very nice.

My husband and I ate at the Savoy for lunch in early July. We enjoyed it so much we returned with friends. The friendly service is excellent and the food delicious. It was our first visit but it won't be our last.

For many years we've enjoyed the Savoy's friendly atmosphere and delicious food at reasonable prices. Strangers in town can always find someone to chat with at the bar, families can gather for great food and staff that is "kid friendly", and couples can have a romantic evening with a good meal and a glass of wine in a "fine Dining"... When in Rome, this is a great affordable authentic Italian restaurant. Friendly service, great food...awesome calamari. Nice wine selection as well.

This is my third or fourth trip to the Savoy and I can honestly say its never been a disappointment. This is an old time in town restaurant that brings back memories of restaurants of the 50’s. Dark wood, cloths on the tables, the piano player who never seems to tire, it’s a pleasant touch. When you enter through the... More

Wonder evening at the 'Savoy', very scenic with a small river next to the place, the Bartender 'Dean' was the best, restaurant was established 1908, prime rib on Fridays and Saturdays and a piano player is also onsite on the weekends.

Food was good. I had the fish fry on a Friday. Decent portions and served hot. Cole slaw was bland. Service was outstanding. The staff handled an large group which grew in number as the evening progressed. It was impressive service. The wait staff also provided separate checks without complaint.

The history of this restaurant goes back over 100 years. Signed photos from Babe Ruth, Yogi Berra to the future Pittsburgh Steelers' players line the walls of this well established institution. The service is impeccable, the food is always consistently good and everything is done to make sure the patrons are happy with their time there. During the week, The... More
