We walked over from the Erie Canal and good a gem Loved the atmosphere of the old style classy dining experience. Service was good and good also. Dining room was fun and that was unexpected on a week night.

This was not exciting fare. The Italian Wedding Soup was basic; the Veal Parmigiana, very ordinary, and the Toasted Almond Cake for dessert, surprisingly unimpressive. On the positive side, it was all edible and not bad food, and the price was fair for the quality. For Rome, this may be one of their better restaurants.

Had a family dinner here Friday night, we had the back party room as we had about 20 people with us. For Rome NY this is as fine as dining gets but don't expect big city type fine dining. Extensive menu focused on Italian dishes but you can get your standard non-Italian fare as well. Not very extensive wine list... More

By far one of the best buffets we have ever had. It was a special for Mother's Day. All the food was superb. The dessert buffet was unbelievable with many selections. Fast and friendly service. We highly recommend this grest Italian restaurant.

There were more than a dozen in our party and our reservations were made at the very last minute; the staff at The Savoy rose to the occasion. We were provided with great food and service to match. I was reminded of a big city, family owned Italian restaurant. We walked in through a fully stocked bar and into a... More

Great service, food and priced right. If you like authentic Italian food this is the place to try. Get the Italian Nacholinos as an appetizer and you won't be disappointed. I had the Veal Picatta. It was cooked to perfection. The East Rome Greens were terrific, but they are a copy of East Utica Greens.

I have been going to this restaurant since I was a child. Fifty plus years later, I am still going there.

The food is just average and the prices are not worth it. The outdoor deck is great but can get really packed when popular bands play. The drink prices are also high.

Prices are terrific, serving sizes huge, staff friendly and attentive - but the real key to the Savoy is how fantastic the food is! Every bite is delicious and the menu varied enough that there is something special for everybody.

My wife and I enjoyed our lunch at the Savoy. The garlic bread disappeared quickly as did a side of greens. She had chicken with more greens and garlic mashed and I had the antipasto. Both were delicious (what a great Italian dressing). The service was terrific and friendly. I had coffee (fresh-hot) and she had water. $35 with T+T.... More
