A nice change

The food was very good. It was a nice change. Naturally most of the restaurants in Rome are Italian restaurants or chains. They had a wide variety of dishes to choose from. The service was very good too.

My wife and I eat here often. We have never had a bad meal. The service is always great and Maria is always there with a smile. My wife likes the beef stew and I get Pollo Picante (just the right amount of heat.) with Spanish rice and beans. The desserts are very good, if you have room for them.... More

I ate lunch today at Caribbean Restaurant. It's not an experience that I recommend. The food is unquestionably home made. But that doesn't mean that it is good. I had the pulled pork with yellow rice and a beef empenada. The food was universally over-salted, to the point of almost tasting like brine. The pork was extremely greasy, and left... More

I have been here multiple times with my family to eat in and by myself as takeout. This place is truly a hidden gem. The food had always been fantastic and flavorful. One Saturday I got the buffet in a take away container and even though I'm not sure what everything I got was called, I really loved everything. Normally... More

Been to this place a couple times. We've never had a bad meal or bad service, and it's not crowded. The prices are good, the people are friendly, the food is interesting and tasty, but most important it's not Italian food like everywhere else in Rome. There's not a huge selection but that just makes deciding easier and the cooking... More

We were in Rome visiting Fort Stanwix and wanted to get a late lunch before heading back to Cooperstown. We checked out a couple of places walking distance from the fort. We decided to give this place a try based on the reviews on Trip Advisor. It was the middle of the afternoon on a weekday and it was raining...we... More

Recommended 100% Frank & Maria who are the owners know what they're doing. Best place in the Rome area to try a Caribbean (Dominican) meal. Also I try the Mango shake. You need to try one of there "Tropical Fruit Shakes". I think I said too much. Now is your time to go and try.

Had a cuban sandwich here love the fresh cut fries and the 'buffet' is a great deal You'll definitely get filled up for a reasonable price. food could be warmer temperature wise. Not much atmosphere.

My husband and I came here for a casual, leisurely lunch and we left agreeing that we would be back very soon. The place has simple decor and is clean inside. Maria, one of the co-owners, was very kind and welcoming. She prepared a drink called morir sonando (she translated it to us as "die dreaming"), which is blended milk... More
