This is not for the vegetarian in the family, but second time round I realized there are some more realistic portion sizes. I had the medium filet and it was more than enough. Vegetables are great, service is very friendly, and the ambience is really fun in the great old building. When they serve the little corn cakes remember they... More

Last minute dining plans and we remembered Doe's. Greeted quickly by the Hostess and shown to an upstairs area where the Bartender/Server, Phillip, took us from there! Phillip is great! We had not been to Doe's in a long time and he refreshed on the preparation of the steaks, how they are cooked, served, and how we could share since... More

The name of the restaurant is pronounced with a long o, as in doe, a deer. The building is an old brewery over 100 years old and the atmosphere is interesting, cool because of the brick walls. I think it appeals to men more than women. Not really a romantic place. They have absolutely enormous cuts of very high quality,... More

You would think that if you paid $28.00 a pound for a steak, that it would include the salad, baked potatoes, and bread. They charge $3.00 per potatoe, the salad had a nasty tasting dressing on it. That was our first AND last visit there.

This is THE steak place in Ft. Smith. I got the filet and my husband got the ribeye. Both were done perfectly. Drinks are strong - so I only needed one! Good wine list. They have "tamales" as an appetizer but beware these are Arkansas tamales, not Mexican. Atmosphere is dark and some areas smell musty - I suspect from... More

Started off rough we no record of a confirmed reservation for 10!! Thank goodness our party had shrunk to 7. We went to the bar for a drink while they prepped our table. Turns out our table was to be in the bar with 7 big boy men around 2 square tables pushed together. A bit cramped. Food was as... More

I have eaten here before and knew the steaks were excellent. This time I tried the tamale appetizer ( don't bother ) they were dry and nothing to write home about.. The salad is a small bowl of lettuce and no effort put in it. I also had the boiled red potato's which were good after I cut them in... More

Went there last night. The building is very cool. Stone walls, uneven floors. It has a lot of character. It wasn't very crowded on a Monday night, so it might get noisy if every table were full. The hostess and server were friendly. The server was excellent. Checked back with us, made recommendations. The menu is odd. They have steaks... More

Their sirloin steak is to die for. Mushrooms are so good you will crave them all the time. Excellant place to eat.

First time at Doe's Eat Place, best Rib eye steak, it was juicy and the tasted was perfect. The tamales were delicious. Nice selection of Beer and Wine. The restaurant location is in a beautiful old brewery. This is the restaurant I will dine when I visit Fort Smith, Arkansas for now on.
