Good food

When working, I ate here about once a week. Good food. Occasionally service was slow, but we were always in a hurry as we were on our lunch hour. Their breakfasts are terrific.

We waited well over an hour after we were told they were pulling tables together for our party "right now". Once we were seated, the cinnamon rolls were good, our waiter was fantastic & the rest of our food was mediocre.

I want to start by saying that in the past we have had more good experiences than bad at this restaurant. However, last night was sooo bad that I feel they deserve even less than a one. Even though our order was read back to me upon placing it, they still shorted us sides, dinner rolls and cinnamon rolls. In... More

Found this place by the big overhead sign on Rogers Highway/Avenue. Thought I would check it out and found that the parking lot was full at 7pm. Usually a good sign and found out why. Place is full of old signs and pictures. Favorite dinner items include catfish, hamburgers and country fried chicken, but there are plenty of other items... More

From the reviews, I went in expecting exceptional food. It was not. The chicken fried steak was as much of a disappointment as the cinnamon rolls that they are known for. Save your hard earned money and grab a can of pop cinnamon rolls at the store. At least they won't be stale.

Love visiting here when we return to fort smith. The cinnamon rolls have gotten better and the croutons are still the best I've ever had. I definitely recommend this restaurant if you want some local flavor.

Calico is a Fort Smith staple. The complimentary rolls are absolutely delicious! I've been there a few times, but liked it best for breakfast.

This restaurant is one of the good local finds in the area. The food is good, homestyle cooking, service is good, coffee is good, and at a fair price. This is also a veteran owned establishment, which makes it all the better. Absolutely worth a try!

Took my Fiance to her eye appointment in Fort Smith the other day and I checked places for breakfast nearby. Calico County was a place I'd heard of and I'd heard Oprah had eaten there once and loved it. All in all it is a great place to eat. I like the Americana décor, the food is real deal too.

A family owned and operated place to enjoy a great, home cooked style meal with vegetables, bread, and great muffins.
