This down home country cookin' restaurant is a little hard to find for out of towners, but well worth the effort. The well placed billboard just west of I-540/I-49/US71 (or whatever they are calling it today) on Rogers Avenue lets you know exactly where to turn south to get to this jem. Once there, we found the service friendly and... More

Don't miss the title dishes. Restaurant was full, but service was great. My group of 13 ladies were pleased with their dinners which were reasonably priced.

If you like home cooking, you will love the food at Calico County. They start you out with wonderful cinnamon rolls! They offer a variety of down home meals at a reasonable price. The entire restaurant is decorated with antiques/reproductions of days gone by.

Calico County is a good option for groups who have differing tastes . The large menu has something to please everyone. It's a great option for take out office lunches, and breakfast choices are great. The option for larger or smaller portions is helpful. Our favorite meal is catfish with potato salad and pintos. We aren't fans of the sweet... More

This place is a home cooking restaurant and was ok. The cinnamon rolls was a neat free appitizer. Atmosphere was good and our waitress was very friendly. I would recommend to my friends.

We were looking for some basic home-cooked food and this restaurant met the need. One of the things we liked was that there is an option to order smaller portions. While the fried okra wasn't my favorite, I really enjoyed the grilled chicken, squash casserole, cinnamon rolls (which are served hot up-front), and my vanilla coke; my husband liked the... More

The burgers were very good...and large. Plenty to share. Came with fries which were tasty also. Good choice.

Very good home cooking type restautrant. I highly recommend this home cooking restaurant if you want some local flavor off the main strip. They serve cinamon rolls instead of dinner rolls in a basket with the meal. The 4 of us that went had a great experience.

We ate breakfast here last week on our way through town. The atmosphere was amazing and the food was even better. The cinnamon rolls that were brought out prior to the meal were fantastic! We bought several dozen to take with us on the rest of our vacation.
