We stopped after reading the reviews here and had a great lunch on the way home from vacation. Delicious burgers and basket of fried goodies in the sampler platter! Very friendly servers, and friendly atmosphere for our 8 mo. old, though no changing station for him. Already looking for an excuse to head back to that part of the state... More

This is a great little eatery in Fort Scott. Lots of variety and everything is pretty good. Great portions! Everything is very fresh.

We stop at this cafe on our way to or from KC. It is just a little hole in the wall type of place but the food is GOOD! We shared a large bacon cheese burger this time but normally try for breakfast. If u r headed toward Fort Scott it is well worth the time to stop for a... More

The best little mom & pop diner in the Midwest! They smash your hamburger patty as they put it on the grill, the spuds are fresh cut, regular or curly, and everything on the menu is wonderful. Breakfast through dinner, the meals are "down home."

When they remodeled it was really good for a while and then it just went downhill. The food quality was lousy. Several times we had to send the food back because it was not done, or it was stale. Biscuts tasted like they were made a week ago.

Not a bad breakfast. Sometimes a bit of a wait but good. Not a bad lunch if you are just wanting a good greasy grilled burger.

Not a retro restaurant, but rather authentic 1950's setting. My wife and I stopped in for a sandwich, which was good and filling. We noticed that the customers in the next table ordered the fried chicken. We ordered the fried chicken to go, and when we ate it for dinner that evening, were more than impressed. In a part of... Came to town to visit my hubby at work (Bnsf). This cafe was a good choice. Next time we will try lunch or dinner. Eggs were perfect, yummy hash browns & sausage made for an excellent breakfast.
