The very first thing that sets me off is when you make a reservation for 7:00 PM and you arrive a couple of minutes before seven there are twelve tables four with customers and the table they are going to seat you at is there set up and ready to go; then they say would you like to sit in... More

We make a yearly weekend trip to Savannah and include 45 Bistro as one of our "must-dos." Year after year, it does not disappoint. Over time, the menu changes a little and there are daily specials as well. The room is elegant in appearance though the noise level can be high -- depending on what's happening in the adjacent bar... My wife and I went to 45 South with another couple to celebrate two birthdays. We knew we could not go wrong, as the restaurant has been a favorite of ours for many years. Everyone's meal was delicious...the rib eye steak and the accompanying sauce were the best I ever tasted. We had a quiet corner table in the charming... More

The steak with the rubbed expresso was very good as was the chicken especially the herb butter sauce. The service was slow, but okay. The seating was a little cramped and the noise level was high due to the layout of the room. Some drapes would help reduce the noise and make the experience more intimate like 700 Drayton. Overall... Small and intimate, this was our favorite place in Savannah. My special appetizer of diver scallops were tender with a slightly crisp outside, served with a corn reduction sauce and tiny onion crisps that were delicious; and the beef carpaccio with a little hit of dijon and crispy capers was excellent. The ribeye special with an espresso rub was flavorful... More

We had several good meals in Savannah, including the well-known Olde Pink House. But, our best dining experience was 45 Bistro. Food was meticulously prepared. We had "pork three ways," shrimp & grits and flatbread, all were exceptionally good. Service was perfect -- attentive and personal, but not obtrusive. Wine and beer selections also were excellent. Restaurants located in hotels... More

Definitely a "don't miss" place. Danny, our server, was great and took the trouble to check with the chef to find out just how they make those extraordinary sweet potatoes. Definitely have the scallop appetizer if they're offering it - it was a special that day - as it's one of the best things we've ever eaten. I could say... More

We weren't staying in the hotel, but chose 45 Bistro anyway, as it seemed like one of the best paces to eat in the city. And we were right! A fine wine, delicious food, and excellent service added up to one memorable meal. We started with the goat salad and teardrop salad, and finished with the grouper and bento box.... More

This is the best steak in Savannah but be sure to get reservations or you'll have to sit at the bar regardless of how many open tables they have.
