Great food, drink, and service

The title says it all: I ate here twice on a recent visit to Savannah. I had excellent seafood (shrimp salad, scallops, daily catch) here, well-prepared and well-presented. Upstairs bar was beautiful and relaxing. Drinks were strong, but delicious which is a plus. The chorizo Brussel spouts and bone marrow mac and cheese had me begging my husband to go back to the restaurant for a 2nd time. Husband ribeye was melt in your mouth tender.

We had a truly spectacular meal here with great service. The muscles were not only some of the largest I have ever seen (sources from Charleston vs BC as most muscles are) but the sauce was so good we wanted to take it home for future bread dipping. The local greens salad was light and flavorful with the preserved lemon... More

My husband and I really enjoyed this restaurant. The food was inventive and beyond good, almost stretching to gourmet. Very fresh ingredients. A good combination of the old south flavors prepared in a healthier, modern fashion. Not overly crowded; tables well-spaced. A bit of a walk depending where you are staying. It's south of Forsyth Park on Bull Street. Reserve.

Very nice dinner here on a first evening in Savannah. Staff is friendly. Duck and bison were exceptional as was the rabbit ravioli appetizer. Soup was more ordinary. Extensive wine list. Excellent service. Reservations recommended. We would return.

We enjoyed our evening at Local. The hostess and waitress were casual but efficient. The waitress was well informed about the menu. I had the shrimp and grits and my husband enjoyed the bison. The flavours and textures were delicious. The chef here has a passion for food and it shows in his creations. The sorbet was OK. A little... More

Not an extensive menu, but most of the options are excellent. Very good and knowledgeable service help narrow down the selection of food and wine in a trendy informal setting

We enjoyed the meal so much on a Saturday evening that we returned on the next night. The food is very tasty and presentation is a work of art. Everything that we ordered was the best. Both of our waitresses were great. They new the menu and gave us great service.

Wonderful dinner prepared perfectly, but won't go back because of noise level. We asked for a quiet table and were seated across from the bar...there is no quiet table anywhere there!
