Quaint restaurant within an old apothecary. We ate at the family table. The menu is small but well done. One in our party had tea sandwiches, one peanut butter and banana sandwich, two had the chicken Marsala and the last had an Asian inspired salad. Although the chicken was a bit dry, most were pleased with their lunch. Wait staff... More

Real, healthy and well-priced food with a choice of tea flavours. Or coffee. Full of character if slightly odd. Decent service.

The place is so charming and the food consistently good. It never disappoints. Just wish they would start serving dinner.

Affiliated with SCAD this lunch spot was a big, unexpected hit. We had a lovely lunch - be sure to get the salmon avocado sandwich with cucumber salad or the salad with goat cheese medallions. Both were recommended by staff and perfect choices. This gem is just across the street from the SCAD shop - don't miss that either.

Our second time at Gryphon. We love this place! So cosy and "raffinee". This time we went for the brunch. We were the first one at 11 am and enjoyed a great salmon sandwich. One point of improvement: coffee. I'm a coffee drinker and you expect a great one in such a place. Mine was really average. Disappointing!

We heard from a friend how great this restaurant was and we were not disappointed. Excellent sandwiches, salad and fish. The servers are SCAD students and quite charming and informative. The decor of the restaurant is great with the chandeliers, stained glass and player piano. What a great treat. I would definitely return!!

Food is delicious and the walls are covered with old books. It has a great ambiance and decoration. I loved it. The check at the end comes inside a book.

Beautiful old building has lots of atmosphere. Students who are waiters are so polite and helpful. Tea was fabulous and selection of sweets and savories hit the spot after a day of sightseeing.
