Love this restaurant! Everytime we go to Savannah, we eat there. Food is always great and it's such a lovely setting. Changes have been made to the restaurant with the addition of couches and chairs in the window areas and it just softens the whole atmosphere. There used to bee table and chairs crammed in there and you hardly had... More

A wonderful experience! It is housed in an old pharmacy and the decor is truly breath-taking and an unexpected delight. Books are everywhere and there are even small seating areas offering couches. The menu has a lot of selections. We went to the Sunday brunch. Food was delicious. I highly suggest that you make reservations because this place seems very... More

I read about this place in an online article and decided to take my son there one Sunday right before closing to give it a try. I'm glad we did as we both had a very pleasant experience with good, fresh food in a unique setting. The one snafu we encountered was our server, Khushnuma (interesting name), brought us a... More

I would give this place 5 stars, but that seems excessive for salads and sandwiches. Our table had both both salads and sandwiches and everything was delectable. The service was also very pleasant - waiters are generally students at SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design). The highlight, even with such good food, is the decor. The restaurant is in... More

What a great lunch spot! Housed in a beautiful old building, the Gryphon is a must see not only for the food, but also for the very unique & slightly decadent setting. Great menu - goats cheese salad & pork medallions at our table. Not a wing or rib in sight! Fast, friendly service.

Had lunch here. Found the menu innovative (fancy) with most items exotic combinations of ingredients. Food was good as was the service but lunch for 2 at $45 was a little steep.

WOW, this place is amazing! While searching for a bite to eat for lunch, we just happened to walk by not knowing anything about this place except for the delicious smell coming out onto the street. We walked into one of the most unique, charming and delicious places I've ever come across! It really was like stepping back in time!... More

We happened upon the Gryphon Tea Room when looking for a place to get a cold drink. What a find. It is set in an old pharmacy and you can spend hours just looking at the original woodwork and lighting. In addition, the afternoon tea was very good and the SCAD students make it a fun place to visit. Highly... More
