The service was friendly and efficient. We had a very tasty salmon with a delicious salad. All plates and meals looked very appealing. I highly recommend to have a cappuccino. The whole experience was very enjoyable.

The Gryphon is a great little place off the usual tourist path. They have a lovely selection for lunch. He desserts are also insane! It's right next to shop SCAD. You can have a light lunch and skip over to get some neat art!

When traveling we always like to take in a tea room, and were happy to find the Gryphon Tea Room. It is in an old apothecary/drug store, and the original fixtures are still in the building, it is also filled with books. The staff is SCAD students and you could tell they had a lot of pride in the place... More

The Gryphon Tea Room is an annual pilgrimage stop when we visit Savannah. The setting is superb. One of SCAD's early restoration projects, the Tea Room is set in a comfortable and beautifully restored pharmacy with magnificent wooden book cases and original Tiffany lamps. Some of the servers are SCAD students so it's always enjoyable to chat with them about... More

Very beautiful place, nice menu of salads or entrees, was absolutely perfect for us trying to avoid a pouring rain. Very good service and reasonable place. We even got free yellow SCAD plastic raincoats on our way out. Try this place, rain or shine.

Beautiful tea room with great lite fair. 7 corn chowder was delicious. Perfect for lite lunch. Staff are mostly students from SCAD and will delightfully give you a brief history of the building. Tindy ( hoped I spelled it correctly) was our waitress and she was awesome!

The building used to be a Pharmacy and is worth the visit just to see some of the original features - tiffany glass, original cabinets etc. It is now owned by the University who used it as a Library. The walls are still lined with books. The waiters are all students who are very informative about the history of the... More

Whole experience was just kind of "eh." The environment is super cool. Service was just alright. My dad and I split a salad and it was okay. He got the blackberry lemonade and that was amazing. I would recommend just going for the experience and maybe a nice drink. Check out the SCAD student store next door while you're there!

We had Sunday brunch there and, quite frankly, enjoyed the atmosphere more than anything else. The food was good but the ambience was alot to take in and it was interesting to view. The staff was very accommodating and it was a treat to be treated there.
