Great casual lunch

This little restaurant is adorable. It is run by SCAD and is set in an old pharmacy that was later a library. I had a delicious grown-up peanut butter and banana sandwich that included honey and granola on wheat bread. It was a casual and quick meal. The wait staff is composed of students from SCAD... read more

This restaurant is unique, it is in an old pharmacy with the original Tiffany stained glass light fixtures which are amazing! It is owned by SCAD and the servers are SCAD students so you get to help support our valued SCAD students. I got the Salmon Club which IS AMAZING. I highly recommend this restaurant to all of my guests!

On a recent trip to Savannah, one of the ladies in our party made reservations here. The tea room is so charming, former pharmacy and lovely decor. I ordered a turkey sandwich on country bread with walunts, cranberries and cream cheese....delicious. A lovely place to have a break and refreshments.

I am kicking myself for living so close to this place and never wandering in. Now they won't be able to get rid of me. The atmosphere was divine. Original gold-leaf designs on the wood, old books lining the walls, beautiful stained glass designs everywhere you look. There were antiqued couches and windows for seating, the whole area was carpeted.... More

We stopped in for a great lunch. we had salads and they had multiple textures, the meats and cheeses were prepared perfectly. It felt like a multi course meal and was just the right amount of food to leave room for a nice dinner. I will definitely go back to the Gryphon. The ambiance was great. Located in an old... More

Not a very avid tea drinker myself but I found the tea here extraordinary. The salmon club sandwich was also off the charts. Excellent service provided.

Another wonderful bistro that is adding to the charm of the Savannah downtown. My aunt and uncle used to own the building when it was a historic pharmacy. The Gryphon is a great stop for a cool drink or a quick bite while exploring downtown.
