The Gryphon Tea Room is an eloquent quaint Southern Charm white linen table cloths restaurant. The restaurant is gracious, stained glass windows and an old pharmacy remnant. The food is reasonably priced and delicious. I do not recall alcoholic beverages/beer being offered. While in Savannah I recommend dining at the Gryphon for its Southern Charm and hospitality in an eloquent... More

The Gryphon is a great place for a nice, quiet lunch. The food is wonderful and so is the service. If you are looking for somewhere to have afternoon tea, this is the place. The goat cheese salad is amazing! The desserts are big enough to share. If you are in Savannah, make sure you find it!

The Gryphon tea room is set in a 100-year-old building that was originally a pharmacist's shop. But it isn't like any Walgreen's you've ever seen. It is a gorgeous, spacious space with old wood paneling, high ceilings, and a beautiful stained glass piece in the ceiling. In one corner you can see the original drawers where the pharmacist kept various... More

We enjoyed this restaurant enough to take two adult children and two grandchildren for a second visit in a week. I particularly enjoyed the pork tenderloin, but between our two visits and twelve people we tried most things on the menu, and all was good. Of course, you really should be a tea lover if you go to a tea... More

Upon arrival in Savannah I asked my hotel concierge for a lunch recommendation, and she recommended the Gryphon Tea Room. It was perfect! The historical building, with it's Tiffany glass and carved wood interior decorations was beautiful. I had a delicious house-special lemonade and chicken salad sandwich. My check was accompanied by a freshly-baked cookie. As a bonus: The SCAD... More

Visited during a SCAD tour for my daughter. Delightful tea - and salmon sandwich was excellent. Library theme decor is great! Tea is a little pricey for what you get. But the sweets were good.

We had a lovely lunch here in what was originally built to be a pharmacy, albeit a very fancy one! The stained glass windows all display a beautiful pharmacy vessel and the chandelier in the center of the large dining room with an al fresco mural above it is stunning. All the bookcases are original wood and it is a... More

A perfect spot for afternoon tea right here in Savannah, The Gryphon is a carefully remodeled pharmacy that is upscale enough to be classified as a Tea Room. The mahogany wood, wall of mirrors, white table cloths and classically outfitted wait staff give it enough of a formal touch to be a London establishment. The afternoon tea service features sandwiches,... More
