The food was excellent. The service was excessive. Maybe because there were very few customers. more

We had a great lunch at Vics on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. We sat in the bar area to listen to the pianist. Although he was not a stellar player, it was enjoyable to have live music. The food was very good. I especially enjoyed the collard greens. Service at the bar was very attentive. more

I was not that impressed with the lunch we had at Vics. The view was nice though and the building is impressive. more

Go for lunch to avoid overcrowding and get better prices for the same great food. We didn't have a reservation and got seating right by the window so we could watch the boats on the river. My husband and I split some appetizers for our meal and enjoyed the Crawfish Beignets, BBQ Pork Eggroll, and the Shrimp and Grits very... more

Ate at Vic's last Sunday evening after just arriving in town. Should have know better than to try a obvious tourist destination. Great location, nice room, pretty good menu but catering to a clientele that changes every day and whom they will probably never see again. This is a recipe for poor service and even poorer food. The wait and... more

This is a classy, pleasant restaurant but everything we ordered - from the fried green tomatoes, chicken sandwich, fish po-boy, and shrimp and grits - all had barbecue sauce on them! It wasn't a bad-tasting sauce, but if I wanted barbecue, I would order it. It would have been nice to have some different flavors. more

We went to Vic's on the recommendation of a friend and Trip Advisor reviews. My wife had two appetizers and I had the pecan encrusted flounder. The fish was very good. One thing was it stayed hot until the last bite and I ate rather slowly. It was rather noisy inside. The staff performed very well. We didn't have to... more

Our tour guide recommended Vic's and we were without Trip Advisor, so we took the recommendation. Honestly, we've had better. It was all just okay. We liked the fried green tomato appetizer. The pulled pork eggroll was decent, we just had to order it because it sounded like such a great southern twist. I ordered a side of grits and... more

Our last night in Savannah, we had dinner at Vic's on the River. We were 3 couples in Savannah for a long weekend. We were seated immediately and had a nice table with a pretty view of the river. Our server was attentive, helpful, and knowledgeable. The wine list was very good- we had our best wine of the trip... more
