Delicious Seafood in a High End Restaurant

The seafood is wonderful. The rooms are small and you need a reservation to get in. The view over the river is very good.

As a frequent visitor to Savannah, we decided to try Vic's and were not disappointed. Tasted shrimp and grits first time ever here...amazing! The ambience was dignified, reminiscent of old time South. Service was great, even honored my need to be gluten free. Can't wait to return!

With all the choices for dinner in Savannah it's hard to weed through the restaurants to find a really nice place that's not too uppity but will still have great food. Vic's on the River is one of those places. It's classy and a little on the high end, but the prices weren't through the roof. All in all I... More

Tomato soup, French onion soup, swordfish, flounder...everything was tasty and prepared well. Skip the praline cheesecake.

Food was really good, staff was good, crabcakes were excellent! Would go back again! A little loud but not detrimental to the experience.

Stopped in for lunch - no waiting. View of the river. At first a little intimidated by the formal look of the place as we had the kids with us, but worked out great as the kids meals were very reasonably priced compared to other places on the river (the kids could have easily split their meals) and there were... The four of us enjoyed truly the best dinner meal in Savannah. One can fast for the whole day to prepare for the amount of food and the delicous quality. Two of us had meat loaf, one had shrimp and I had a butterflied pork chop. All were outstanding and served with grace and skill by Jason. What a great... More

We ate here around 3:30 in the afternoon so they were serving their Mid-day menu. It is a realtively small list of items. We ordered their Hummus and Crobb Salad. The Hummus was great and there was plenty of it but could have used a little more pita bread. The Crobb Salad was fantastic. My wife and I split both... More

The Pink House was closed so we were directed to Vic's. Loved it. We ate at the bar and enjoyed the view and ambiance. I had the fried green tomato BLT and my husband had Crawfish Beignets. They were delicious. After our meal we used their elevator to the Savannah River thus avoiding the treacherous "historic stairways".

The service was perfect, the restaurant is beautiful, and the food was amazing. I highly recommend the fried green tomatoes and the calamari for appetizers. We also had the beef carpacio, but it was way too salty. For entrees, we had the meatloaf and the fried shrimp. Both were very good. The sides are also delicious, especially the mac and... More
