As of June, it appears the lunch and tea dining portion are closed - although the shop storefront remains open to purchase tea to bring home. Disappointing.

The food was OK but what got us was the dessert. A cake in a jar with chocolate frosting. For $7, that was a joke. Old, very dry cake right out of the fridge with ice cold, hard frosting, which tasted like the cake mix you buy at the store. As a former chef, this was very disappointing.

No longer serves any food. No scones or clotted cream. Sigh... Tea was fair. Need to update website. People were friendly.

A friend and I were looking for a spot where we could linger over some lighter fare while catching up. We chose The Tea Room and were not disappointed. We ordered the house recommended tea, Emperor's Bride. The tea was served at the perfect temperature and was fruity light and delicious. We each had a dessert with our tea; a... More

Fun place to visit with nieces. Loved the tea and I still order it online when I run out and they ship it to me. Food great.

We visit Savannah every year and we make a point of stopping here to bring Tea back home to Connecticut. We usually buy the Tea for Ruby and this year added Holy Grail. Both are very good.

In a country that craves coffee, it was such a pleasure to find a genuine tearoom during our travels. The tea was first-rate - and made just the way we requested - and the accompanying sandwiches and scones with real cream were a delight. It was such an enjoyable indulgence in the three days we spent in gorgeous Savannah. Thank... More

So sad to hear that the Savannah Tea Room's lovely restaurant will close next week. Some of my best dining experiences with dear friends and family have taken place here and we'll remember the dishes of Chef Andre fondly. It's some consolation that the shop will remain open, but we will dearly miss the scones and clotted cream and this... More

This is a must when you go to Savannah, even if you don't love tea there are other lovely items on the menu. I adore tea and all its accoutrements, so I was in heaven when we walked in the door. There are 30+ kinds of tea on the menu: black, green, white, oolong, herbal. You can get soup (I... More

Walking along East Broughton we noticed The Tea Room and on a whim decided to explore. Both of our luncheon choices Chicken Salad and Quiche were pure excellence; the pastry (or crust as we say in Ireland) of the quiche was absolutely made from scratch and had almost a shortbread crunch to it. A mini afternoon tea came with lunch... More
