We dined at Alligator Soul our first night in Savannah, we tried other places the other 4 nights we stayed in Savannah, however hands down Alligator Soul was the best dining of our stay. We started with Artisan Cheeses which had wonderful selections and pairings followed by the main meals of the shrimp and grits and the diver scallops dish;... More

I only give one star or five star reviews these days. We are vegan and so is the owner. The menu had one vegan dish which is at the chef's pleasure. You get the plate and eat it very slowly to take in the flavor layers and textures. We sat at the bar way underdressed but treated like family. The... More

Food and service was impeccable. The alligator sausage was amazing. They have a rotating menu during the year.

Excellent food, drinks and service. And you paid for it. Nice atmosphere, clever and imaginative dishes, creative cocktails. Still doubtful I'd go back.

This place was highly recommended but turned out to be average. Service was so so. The food was ok but not great. We had the shrimp and grits and a sampling of the fish dishes. It wasn't bad just average.

Went here for our anniversary dinner. Were treated extremely well. Some tables were complaining of slow service, but this is not fast food. Our courses were timed perfectly. Cocktails, Charcuterie Board (smoded head cheese, pork belly, alligator boudin, pickled veggies, and flat bread. Delicious. Never had head cheese before, but will come back for this. Pork belly, awesomness. Main entrees... More

Pretty Good Food, Terrible Management I have never written a restaurant review, positive or negative, but my experience tonight prompts me to do so. This was our second visit to Alligator Soul, the first time was wonderful and so we returned. Tonight, we had a very different experience. Things went wrong from the start. One of the rooms had problems... More

I assure you, Laura, this is not the impression that we want you to have of us. You should always feel like you're being taken care of, and I truly apologize that we didn't do more to make this right while you were here. I will follow up with your comments here, but I sincerely hope you'll give us another... More

This is our second visit and exceeded our expectations. Original and varied low country fare using local suppliers. My wife had the duck which was done to perfection. The shrimp and grits were rich with just the right amount of spice. The staff were personable and attentive. If you have to pick one place in Savannah while visiting as we... More
