EXCEEDED EXPECTATIONS

Celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary with a wonderful dinner capped off by a comped desert and bottle of house-labeled wine. Fillet and rack of lamb were perfect. Server and manager made our anniversary special.

Good for a date and has a creative menu. Spent more money than I would have liked but it all tasted great.

Upon arrival this restaurant called ahead to see if anyone had food allergies so that the chef could be accomodating. We had small treats on our table shouting out our honeymoon which was thoughtful and made us smile. Our waiter was very knowledgeable, engaging, and kept us entertained. Wish we knew his name, but he carries a Georgia bulldog receipt... More

We'll have to track him down, Arielle, but we'll be sure to pass your wonderful compliments on to your server! I'm so glad he helped make your meal with us so wonderful -- especially for your honeymoon. I hope the rest of your time in Savannah was just as fantastic and you'll come see us again soon -- we'd love... More

Everything in this restaurant was fine but short of exceptional. The shrimp and grits were wonderful but other dishes like the baked oysters and red snapper special felt like they were trying just a but too hard.

I'm disappointed to hear you weren't more impressed. While it's great to hear that you enjoyed our shrimp and grits, I was surprised that some of our other dishes fell short -- especially the Oysters a la Soul. Typically that's the dish we're most known for. I hope you'll give us another chance the next time you're in Savannah. I'd... More

This is an overpriced affair of no value. We had bad service and there was no true Gin available. There was a Gin

You can imagine my disappointment reading your review. This doesn't sound like us at all, and it's a shame that this is the impression that we gave you. We have a full bar available, including gin and, on top of that, you should always feel like you're being well-taken care of by your server. I'm truly sorry about your lackluster... More

Arriving in Savannah late in the afternoon, we considered ourselves fortunate to get a last minute reservation here. We walked over from our hotel - the Riverfront Marriott - just shy of a mile, and a nice walk through the historic district. This was our first experience dining in a cellar atmosphere, which we really enjoyed. The service was outstanding... More

I couldn't be happier to that you had such a great time with us! Of course, what really made my day was hearing that Rebecca took excellent care of you and was so friendly and helpful. We're all about that Southern hospitality, and it sounds like she hit the mark. Thanks for sharing your visit with us, and I hope... More

Rolling into town late in the day with a threatening thunderstorm after an 8 hr drive, we were determined to treat ourselves to some good Southern food before we call it a night. Tripadvisor pointed us to Alligator Soul as a nearby proposition we shouldn't miss and boy, we could have walked 10 blocks for this quality of food and... More

There's nothing better than a hot, tasty meal after a long drive! I'm so glad you all stopped in and that everything you had really hit the spot, especially our Oysters a la Soul and Banana Beignets! They're always crowd pleasers, and it looks like you're a part of the club now, too. We'd love to have to you back... More

Was looking for a place to eat for a late dinner. Ran into a couple from Michigan who had eaten here. It is down a stairwell in a basement, but very well decorated for that cellar look. Nice wine list, though I had a local Savannah IPA. Has the Wild Boar Osso Buco which was excellent. Server was very knowledgeable... More

We'll have to thank that Michigan couple for recommending us to you! I'm so glad you enjoyed your evening. There's nothing better than hearing that you found our Wild Boar Osso Buco excellent and Davis was perfectly attentive. Thanks for letting us know about your visit, and I hope you'll come see us again soon! Best, Maureen Craig, Owner More

The food was good but very expensive. The food is not worth the price we paid for it. They did give us two small little pecan pieces with our name on the little white box and Happy Anniversary that was sweet. Try other prices in Savannah like the Old Pink House. Elkins Grundy, VA May 13th

I'm sorry you didn't feel like our prices reflected the quality of our food, Rebecca. I hope you can understand, that we only get the best ingredients from local and organic farmers and merchants. We base our prices on these industry standards, and they're comparable to other restaurants like ours in the area. With that said, we'd love another chance... More

Our waiter described each dish like he was talking about the details of a favorite painting. The food matched the description and then some. I am going back next time i am in town.
