The cocktails are unique and delicious. Try the cucumber/blueberry gin concoction. Cheese platter featuring Sweetgrass dairies cheese is scrumptious!. Wild game selections are awesome. Enjoyed the tender elk. Educated staff that meet your dietary needs. This will be on my must go to list when in Savannah.

It is a very interesting spot, not on street level, but downstairs. Great atmosphere with exposed brick walls. The menu is different, some typical southern foods like Fried Green Tomatoes, which were excellent. Shrimp Creole had a nice kick to it. But don't be surprised to see gator and kangeroo on the menu too! Well worth the stop while in... More

Alligator soul is a small basement restaurant with an intimate atmosphere and very inventive cousine. Of special note is their dry-aged, cold-smoked beef that is absolutely to die for, but also some their house-made sausage is outstanding. Cocktails are also brilliant. Service is prompt and friendly, the wine list is well-chosen at reasonable prices. In the very competitive Savannah restaurant... More

This was our 2nd time here, the first being last year after a Savannah native told us about it. Its now one of our favorites when we visit. The experience was superb as well as the food, atmosphere and whole dining experience. The menu changes regularly and they will adapt any entree to your dietary needs (myself being a vegetarian).... we went to the restaurant based on the reviews. It was extremely noisy. The wait staff was great. The food was good - not great - for the price we paid. We would not go back, however, folks who like trendy food will like it.

Alligator Soul is located in the basement of an old building on Bernard street; but it is open, airy, well lit, and the exposed brick give it nice character and a romantic feel. Very nice ambiance. Service was friendly and attentive. For first course I had the Shrimp & Grits appetizer and my wife had the House Salad -- both... More

The calimari appetizer was excellent. The exotic meat was kangaroo and I liked it. The food wasnt hot when it came out but it was warm. Parking is a chore as it is is most of old Savannah but there are a bunch of public parking garages with very reasonable rates within walking distance. Not a cheap place to eat... More

After reading reviews on Alligator Soul. My wife and I decided to try it, since we had been to many other wonderful resturants in Savannah. It is in the historic district of Savannah, parking was easy in a side lot around the corner, which was free after 5:30. Located in an old basement, you walk down the stairs, and into... More

We visited Alligator Soul for our anniversary, when you make a reservation they ask if it is a special occasion, there is a small gift on the table, personal and thoughtful. Our table was in the middle of the room, I mentioned to the hostess that i did not like the table, but she insisted we sit there, it was... More
