My lovely bride and I celebrated our 52 wedding anniversary, with dinner at Our favorite resaurant in Savanah! Marilyn had the Cobia special and I the beef tenderloin. Both were excellent! Maureen Craig who is the owner made sure that all knew of our special evening. She makes all feel at home and is a warm and funny lady.. Most... More

Overall, we had a great experience. The service was excellent. They bent over backwards to accomodate my wife's vegan diet and cooked her some great things. Don't miss the shrimp and grits and the jambalaya. The only flaw was that the sauce/broth of my fish special was cold. i elected not to send it back (although I am sure they... More

I'm not what you would call an "adventurous" eater. I ordered fish which was very good but my husband order the jambalaya. Oh so good!!!! Its got some heat to it so have a cold beer or water near. The taste of corn chowder was a nice starter followed by yummy bread that's just the right size (small) so we... More

We celebrate our anniversary each year at Alligator Soul. Once again we were not disappointed. We had the three course chef special with paired wines. The courses are complete surprises. Our most recent was a rabbit course, a diver scallop course and buffalo short ribs. Excellent wines. Chef is incredible and service is unbelievable. Splurge!

The wife and I had a great meal at Alligator soul. Their selection of exotic meats is tough to beat, offering everything from gator to buffalo and it is all prepared to perfection. I recently had the Buffalo Short Rib which was deliciously tender and each bite was full of flavors. The service was attentive and knlwledgeable. We also had... More

I thought this might have been the best dining experience I've had in Savannah. Although there was a wait for a table due to reservations, we ate right at the bar, which was delightful. I had the Hibiscus Grenadine Margarita, which was very tasty and quite strong. I ended up getting the "exotic specialty" of the day, since it was... More

On April 30 we had dinner at Alligator Soul. It was overpriced, had poor service, and the food was awful. Two of our party ordered the buffalo. Both of their steaks were inedible due to grizzle. These were entrees priced at over $30. The waiter (Sonny) never brought any bread after asking a second time. After complaining to Sonny, he... More

This is truly a unique dining experience and is not your typical "Southern" fare. The meal was different yet delicious. The wait staff was extremely knowledgeable and made for a wonderful dining experience. The beverage selection was very nice. I would highly recommend Alligator Soul for anyone who has a bit of adventure in their blood! The only bad thing... More

A short stroll from the river in the historical district is a fabulous dining spot. The atmosphere is quite unique with low lighting, brick walls, a fireplace...the service was exceptional, too. We were told that the cuisine was "Southern with a Cajun flair." Our entrees of shrimp & grits and beef tenderloin were two of the best dishes we've ever... More

We had a wonderful meal at this restaurant. They were able to seat us even though we had a later reservation and were quite pleasant about it. A nice selection of wines. The specials were amazing--my husband had an antelope dish. The food was unbelievably tasty and the portions were very generous. Our waiter was very helpful and gave us... More
