A local recommended Sweet Leaf to us, and we were glad that she did. We ordered the pulled pork and multiple sides. The pulled pork was very good, but the sides were outstanding. The mac and cheese and corn pudding were perfect. I could easily make a meal of these two dishes alone. The beans and slaw were also tasty.... more

My husband and I love BBQ, so on our recent trip to Savannah we wanted to try out the BBQ scene. We didn't realize Angels closed so early, so we ended up at Sweet Leaf, after finding it reviewed positively on this site. I tried this restaurant for the first time today.....I am sure I will go back. The menu focuses on smoked bar-b-que dishes but there are a couple of other choices (burgers, chicken panini, salmon sandwich). While it is true that sometimes there is a wait, this is my all time favorite barbeque place. I haven't had anything that wasn't good, and most things are amazing.
