My wife and I went to Uncle Bubba's as part of the Paula Deen Tour with Old Savannah Tours. The lunch was part of the $56/person I paid for the 4+ hour tour. I was very impressed witht the taste, temperature and quanitity of food served on the lunch buffet. I had the pulled pork (with BBQ sauce), corn on... more

Everything was yummy enjoyed the flavor evidence of the freshness of the ingredients they use. The grilled oysters with parmesan and garlic butter were delicious/ Loved the Savannah red rice and low boiled diner. more

This place was not too busy when we got there for lunch but it looked like it would be more by evening. Great food and really neat location. We sat outside on the deck in back. Being Paula Deen fans, we were anticipating the food and it was just as we thought..... really, really good! more

The atmosphere on the deck was fun - a bluegrass band and gnats - but otherwise enjoyable. The food, however, was a disappointment. A "steamed platter" brings you a lot of food but with an unexpected caveat..an oyster knive to shuck your own - and nothing but paper napkins to clean your hands. Bacon wrapped stuffed shrimp was good but... more

Ok if you are going to Savannah to eat health conscious go somewhere else, it AIN'T! Like Paula says, she puts butter and sugar on her Frosted Flakes. I have been to Bubba's twice, both times were early in the week in Sept and both time we were seated right away. The service was excellent! The food was good. I... more

I recently got to try out this restaurant while visiting the Savannah, Ga. We arrived about one pm on a Friday and had a 15 minute wait to eat in the main dining area, but could have been seated immediately if willing to be seated outside. There were a couple of tour busses their, but the service was efficient and... more

We ate outside on a beautiful October day about 2:30 p.m.. They were not really busy, our service was good, food was cooked to perfection--fried fish, seafood gumbo, portions were adequate. Good value considering it is on the water with a nice, calming view of the Low Country marshland. We did have trouble finding the place, needs better signage. Bubba... more

Uncle Bubba's was the highlight of our trip to Savannah for me. The Char grilled oysters were the best! I wish I could get those around home. The entire experience was great. The other seafood was fresh and prepare perfectly. We will be going back next year for more food! more

This restaurant is somewhat "off the beaten path" but worth the drive. We found out about it because we had a coupon from Lady & Sons (Paula Deen's restaurant). Bubba is evidently Paula Deen's brother. We sat outside and the view was awesome. The service was not the best but okay. The food was wonderful. more
