Great meal, great price

We found Sweet Potatoes on Trip Advisor and it was exactly what we were looking for. It was nothing to look at from the outside but very well decorated inside. The menu offered a wide selection of different foods. I got the tilapia encrusted with macadamias while my husband got the jerk chicken... read more

Our first visit and chosen based solely on location and positive reviews. The food is homemade, fresh, and delicious. Even the tartar sauce and ranch dressings are homemade. I especially enjoyed the fried catfish and pot roast. The server was very friendly and our orders arrived promptly. Outside parking was a breeze also.

We visit sweet potatoes every couple of months. The service is always great and the staff is friendly. I love having a selection of veggies to choose from instead of the standard fried. One of my favorites is the buffalo chicken salad and the other favorite is the vegetable plate. I always get the Brussels spouts and greens! If you... More

Had lunch here today. This was the best place I've ran across for good southern food in Savannah. I had corn meal encrusted catfish, corn pudding and lemon collard greens. My wife had pecan encrusted chicken, sweet potato mash, and a side salad. The food was soooo good. The sweet potato mash was soooo sweet it could have been desert.

Stopped here today for a late lunch on a recommendation and it was excellent. I had the fried chicken, green beans and sweet potatoes mashed. Hubby had Philly cheese steak sandwich. We both enjoyed what we ores and will go back as well as recommended to others.

While driving from NJ to Miami, we decided to stop in Savannah for dinner during the second leg of the drive. This was all planned out prior to driving, so we knew we would be stopping at Sweet Potatoes, specifically! I read nothing but positive reviews and just knew that we, too, would have a positive experience. And we did!... More

This is a keeper to be bookmarked for future. The fried chicken special was very good. For those avoiding fried, try the peach glazed BBQ chicken. Moist inside; flavorful crust. Loved their sweet potato with pecans etc -- well worth the extra 40 cents. And their banana pudding is the absolute best we've ever tried. This is my hubby's favorite... More

We landed in Savannah at noon on July 4 and had a few hours to kill before heading to Hilton Head. The reviews of Sweet Potatoes looked promising, so we headed over. The staff was lovely and the food delicious! There was a long list of sides, including Harvard beets, which are my favorite and excellent cheese grits. The mains... More

Perfect restaurant for Vegetarians, large variety (amazing corn pudding)! Good Southern cooking! Bananna pudding was voted best from man vs food.
