My wife and I realized we were in love after a New Year's Eve at Kevin Barry's, 25 years ago. I don't remember what we ate, but I know it was good. The Guinness is the best and the Black Velvets (Guinness and Champagne) were spectacular. Harry O'Donoghue was the entertainer and remains a friend to this day. He's a... More

This is a fun place to hang out and enjoy a Guinness. Irish music, friendly bar tenders and a fun crowd are to be found at Kevin Barry's. As with the other bars on the Savannah River Walk, you can take your beer outside and walk to the next watering hole. Just ask the bartender for a plastic cup.

I was put off by the service - not very friendly, in fact bordering on indifferent. Entertainment (a singer) was pretty good. Food is average - lets face it - it is a bar that is trying its best - but needs an injection of more capable bar and wait staff to do it justice. Will visit again as may... More

The last time I had a pint of draft Smithwick's Imported Premium Irish Ale was a little over two years ago in Ireland. Two pints on a hot September afternoon hit the spot. We were not ready for supper at the time, but the air was filled with inviting aroma's. Will be going back tonight for our last evening in... More

A little disappointed not to be able to listen to a little Irish Music in this Irish pub on River Street. I was told by the waitress we would have to eat quickly, being 7pm and all because after 8pm it's 21 and over only. I personally think that is a little early to kick the kids out, but hey... More

We went in late on a friday night for drinks. Guiness pints and Irish Car Bombs...perfect. This place is not going to impress the critics...its kinda dingy and has a "been on this river for 100 years" feel. We enjoyed our stop...and the drinks.

A great place to go on a hot Savannah day. We were on River Street and looking for something to eat - we went to Kevin Barry's and were seated on the upstairs air conditioned patio. I had the BLT and my boyfriend had the shrimp po'boy with some of the best sauce I've had. I had a rum runner... More

This was our last stop for the night and glad we decided to go. Had a few beers while listening to Irish music played by a very talented guitarist with a cute sense of humor. Old building with lots of charm and old photos on the walls. Felt like I was in Ireland.

When we first walked in my husband and I thought, dingy and smelt odd but we went in anyway since we were there and hungry and thought the view would be nice. We were greeted for our drinks after a bit of a wait & also got the pretzel appetizer. Later we had to to ask to order main course... More
