I attended an event in which we booked a section of the 2nd floor for a class reunion. From the start, one of the servers/bartenders was not very welcoming and friendly to the group. She actually made us feel as though we were an annoyance. Before booking this venue we asked if it was possible to connect an iPod to... More

patrick b First I would like to thank your class for booking your 10yr reunion with us. I have, personally, spoken with one of the other reunion committee members yesterday afternoon by phone to discuss the situation with the music and service. The committee member explained to me the music on the iPod was "Top 40" from 2004 and I... More

we had a rollicking good time here. The building is full of character, right on the riverfront, great live music, good beer, decent food. What more could you want from an Irish pub?

My wife and I were driving from Chicago to Estero, Fl. stopping along the way to see some friends. Another couple we knew drove from Macon to meet us in Savannah. We met for dinner at Kevin Barry's around 7:00 pm. on a Friday evening. Service was slow, the wine list was minimal, the Guinness was mediocre at best (and... More

Thank you for stopping by Kevin Barry's Irish Pub, cited by ABC News as a Top 5 Irish Pub to visit in the United States! From the sounds of things; seems you came the weekend of Oktoberfest when the staff was dressed in "ridiculous costumes" also known as a "Dirndl Dress" and "Lederhosen". Don't worry; we only "play dress" up... More

We visited Kevin Barry's three nights of the four we were in Savannah! We didn't eat, but visited the bar and listened to the music. Great old pub with very pleasant and attentive bartenders! Drinks were good. The music was outstanding: Gabriel Donohue played haunting Irish ballads, lively folk tunes, but my favorite was his ability to play any tune... More

We went here on our first night and it was a great choice. The food was excellent and everyone enjoyed the musician. This should be on your list of places to visit while in Savannah.

My husband, son, and I enjoyed an early dinner at Kevin Barry's. As it was the 1st day of our trip our schedules were all a bit off. We had just snacked for lunch so 2 of is were starving by 5pm. At that hour, the place was mostly empty. One other table in the downstairs dining room was occupied.... More

They had live Irish music and it was great. Really felt like we were back in Ireland. The pub decor, pints and music were spot on. I believe the musician was from Scotland. He was an awesome performer and we really enjoyed our time here. The only complaint I had was the unknown cover charge. Although it was only $2,... More

We love this place. The bartender Brian was so nice and had lots of cool info on the place. The Heroes Hall upstairs is worth a visit. We happened to go on 9/11, and it certainly brought tears to my eyes. This place is a cool, dark retreat from the bustle of the river front. If you get lucky, you... More

My wife and I realized we were in love after a New Year's Eve at Kevin Barry's, 25 years ago. I don't remember what we ate, but I know it was good. The Guinness is the best and the Black Velvets (Guinness and Champagne) were spectacular. Harry O'Donoghue was the entertainer and remains a friend to this day. He's a... More
