We had 2 omlets, 2 coffees and 2 slices of sour dough bread each. The bill was $28. I could not believe they charged $1.79 for 2 sourdough bread for each of us. Also $1.79 each for coffee. I havebeen to high end cafes and never paid this much. more
I am from Chicago and know that the out of the way dirty places serve the best food along with fast service. This place is an exception to the rule. The service was so slow i actually waited 20 minutes for a spoon to stir my coffee, should have been the flag to pack up and call it quits. The food... more
We've eaten here a couple of times but the charm has warn off. The service is so slow we just don't get it. The food isn't anything special. We just had basic things and they were not even done well. It was disappointing and it isn't cheap. We'll try Huey's next time. It was recommended to us by locals. more
My wife and I visited Cobblestone Cafe for breakfast before continuing our vacation in Hilton Head, SC. The first red flag was when they asked us to wait 20 minutes for a table when I saw at least 4 open booths but obviously not enough wait staff. Once seated we waited a while for our server and even longer for... more
My friend and I just had a great long weekend in Savannah, which included a not-great stop at this place. Yikes. Curmudgeonly waitress informed us off the bat that service would "take a while," and as we were seated next to the kitchen, we heard a lot of discussion to the effect that the chef might have stepped out and... more
I went here for breakfast this morning and picked a special off the board out front, basically French Toast (Texas Toast as they called it) with peaches and whipped cream on top. The order came with two eggs and bacon or sausage, I chose bacon. I also ordered a coffee. Service was prompt and the waitress attentive, maybe because it... more
We ate at the Cobblestone Cafe for brunch. It took over 30mins for our food and it was way overpriced. The food was nothing special. In fact the SPECIAL of the day was anything but that and cost 14.99. (french toast with canned peaches, not fresh GA ones) For our family of 4 it cost over $60 for breakfast! Save... more
A friend and I got up to watch the sunrise and to have some quiet time by the river...we happened upon the Cobbleston Cafe and LOVED it. The lattes were great, the fritata was sublimely wonderful, and we really had fun reading the books on the tables where people left notes. It was fun and quaint! more
DON'T GO HERE! This place was awful on almost every level! The service was lame, even though the restaurant was completely empty. The menu was COMPLETELY overpriced, and furthermore the food was HORRIBLE - HORRIBLE! They charged $3.50 for half a glass of orange juice, $3.49 extra for rye toast as opposed to the offered white toast, and $13.99 for... more
