Comfy Pub with Good Food in the Heart of Historic Savannah

This is a great pub/restaurant with standard English/American fare in the middle of downtown Savannah. The food was very good (french onion soup was delicious) and service was fast and friendly. I would definitely go again. A good choice for a quick meal when exploring the historic district.

We stopped by for lunch while exploring the historic district. Once inside it looks like your typical English Pub. I had the chicken salad sandwich with a glass of Strongbow cider. My husband had the BLT and a beer. We both enjoyed our food very much. Our waiter was pleasant and attentive. The prices are very very good. We stopped... More

I'm local, and always enjoy stopping by Six Pence. Came here Saturday May 2 about 4PM. Got a table outside on a beautiful spring day in Savannah. I know I was going to have their Salmon BLT - I'd heard about it before, but had never had one. Didn't know what kind of bread to have it on, but Duane,... More

We were in Savannah to enjoy the full experience and Six Pence was the cherry on top! Our server Rachel helped us to all the right choices on the menu. What service. Had the Bread Pudding topped with something special from the bar....Wow! We will return again and again. Loved seeing the locals there with their colorful clothing and big... More

We ate inside at this pub for dinner and enjoyed our meals. It was typical pub fare which we enjoy. The service was okay. There are some tables outside, but not very many. All in all, a good pub dinner.

Service and food was great. Server was knowledgeable about beer options and gave a great recommendation. The Shepards pie was awesome and so was the grouper sandwich. Highly recommend.

The Guinness beef stew served in a fresh bread bowl was amazing. The wait staff were friendly and gave great suggestions. The décor was lovely and made you feel like you were in the old country. With-in walking distance of any part of the city. Great mixed drinks as well as hot ones for ones that are trying to warm... More

We had the worst experience here. Our waitress's should get out of food service! The food was ok. I would probably have given this place 3 stars but seriously I could not believe this girl! Downright nasty! I would never go back, I was embarrassed to call this southern hospitality with our Australian friends. Very very poor!

We happened to be in the area and remembered the red phone booth and a film being done here with Julia Roberts. An irish pub with a great selection of beers and the best nacho supreme in town and quite reasonable.
