Nice pPlace, Good Food

My daughter and I had a late lunch here and enjoyed it very much. The staff was friendly and the food was good. We sat by the window and watched the street while we ate. I was very comfortable and enjoyed my lunch.

This historical building created a wicked cool atmosphere, the staff was very busy but still got our food out quickly...and it was amazing! The Shepherd's Pie was by far the best I've ever had. In my entire life.

We had a lovely lunch here and would highly recommend to anyone. I had the turkey club on pumpernickel and the homemade potato salad. The made in house bread pudding is the best I've ever had.

This is a great spot for a drink and light fare. The chicken salad plate is delish! The wait staff is friendly and the atmosphere is cozy.

We stopped by for an after-dinner drink based on their Scotch prices and selection posted outside. This inside menu was quite a bit more, $20 instead of the $12.50 posted outside. When this was pointed out the the bartender, she acted shocked, but only offered a $10 discount. No telling how often this happens, but We probably won't come back... More

Pleasant, cool vibes on a hot summer day. We didn't order food but the local brews and ambiance was great! Charming and about as close to London as you can get (this side of the pond).

Aside from being a scene location of a Dennis Quaid movie (Something to Talk About), this is a great English style pub. The draft beer selection is strong and the bar is fully stocked. Service is first rate. I should be at work....but I'm not!

Starving and trying to dodge a rain shower we ducked into this little tavern. My husband had the Club Sandwich and I had a Pub Burger both with potato salad as the side. Everything was most excellent! Hubby said it was the best club he's ever had. He couldn't resist ordering the bread pudding for the desert. I have to... More

We came here five years ago on our honeymoon and liked it so much we came back again. Ate here twice last week. Lovely place to stop to relax and refresh. The Staff is always welcoming especially Melissa our server. Get the Ploughman's platter-you get soup, salad, branston pickle and a slice of cheddar cheese with a piece of baguette.... More

Overall, snacks at the Six Pence Pub were a wonderful experience . They had a wide variety of beers, and the Tudor mugs lined up on the shelves against the wall were very unique. I went with a friend, and everything was mostly positive. However, I don't recall the waitress (whose name I don't remember) being very attentive. Other than... More
