We went for our anniversary dinner. I had a $32 filet mignon - expensive for me! It was like butter. MMMMMMM! It came with mashed potatoes and asparagus, and I asked for the asparagus to be switched out. She offerred up sauteed spinach - yum. The mashed potatoes were delish, the spinach, ah, not so great. But the steak was... more

We went to Belford's for lunch today and we were thoroughly disgusted. . They had a quesadilla special which we ordered for our 18 month old son. As we were cutting up the chicken to feed him, we noticed it was pink and slimy! We showed it to our waitress and she brought us half of another order. This time... more

Had our last vacation dinner here and it was very good. My husband was in the mood for a steak which was really why we chose Belford's. The cheese bread served before the meal negated the need for an appetizer-very rich and tasty. The wait staff was very accommodating when I said I could not eat fried food but really... more

I went for the award-winning crabcakes. You do get your money's worth. Most places will stuff their crab cakes with filler, but this was almost all crab. But for me, it was too much...I like the filler. I wasn't a big fan of the sauce on it, like hollandaise but some people like that. It has nice atmosphere. It's lovely... more

We visited Savannah for Memorial Day weekend and tried Belford's for Sunday brunch. My boyfriend ordered their "famous" shrimp and grits but was very disappointed. Only a handful of shrimp, bland, too much collard greens, and just less than appetizing. My omelette, which was half the price, was ten times better. Other than the food, the drinks (mimosas) were good,... more

This restaurant is great for drinks and only drinks (we had had Long Island Ice teas and they were very (very) good). The food was NOT very good and the menu was very plain and unimaginative, in fact it was pretty poor. I had a hard time picking something interesting. Eventually I settled on haddock in a light cream sauce.... more

The "Classic Caesar Salad": romaine lettuce was shredded and obviously came out of a bag and wasn't that fresh either; there was no dressing on it (it came on the side!) with a sparse amount of grated cheese. I ordered the salad with shrimp as a main course for lunch; it came with 5 adequate shrimp. No rolls were offered.... more

My college age daughter spent a girls weekend in Savannah and experienced a wide range of Savannah dining. Belford's was our last stop on our weekend--we wish we had found it our first day as we would have dined there again on our trip! My daughter had the crab cakes and they are indeed the best we have ever had!... more

We went to Belford's for lunch yesterday. The waitress was professional and efficient. Our group had shrimp and grits and steak & blue cheese salads. The salads were great. The shrimp and grits were not served in the expected way, so we were disappointed, but we also realize that many times chefs like to interpret food their own way. We... more
