Ok! My wife & I walked in & sat down cause it was one of the only places open on Christmas at noon time. Well we looked around & OMG....use a few dollars to clean up or upgrade. The seats were ripped and had no cushion left. The menus had seen better days....like 10 years ago. The placed smelled like... More

You will find a serious minded chef working solo and pumping out some of the finest noodles and sushi around. Its a throw back no frills or bangs a throw back to the 70-80's in decor. They didnt waste money on deco the focus is fine food and its definetly successfull. Portions are fairly big as well. Great place

We stopped in here for a quick meal on the way to an event and we were severely disappointed. First of all, we were the only patrons in the place and no one seemed to care that we were there. They were sitting at a table in the back talking and saw us come in. They brought menus then seemed... More

We eat here at least every other week and sometimes weekly. They have the best sushi in town. The sesame chicken or bourbon chicken is to die for. Absolute nothing fancy, but it is always frequented by locals which is how we discovered it 10 years ago on our first visit. Now we live here and this is our go... More

This place gets harsh reviews sometimes because it's not a fancy 5-star japanese restaurant by far, but I've never had an issue here in four years. I always had food to make me satisfied and enough that I bring some home with me afterwords. I feel like many tourists visiting are put off by the wait staff because they are... More

Strolled down the street looking for a place to dine. Our first choice had air conditioning problems so we popped into Sakura. We both had sushi and were both disappointed. The quality of the sushi was significantly lower that what we were used to. We also had fried dumplings which were very greasy and not crisp at all. The texture... More

I always read reviews before I eat in any establishment. When we entered I almost wanted to turn around because it wasnt as easy on the eyes.. but we sat down to dine. The waitress was very attentive to our glasses and requests. The sushi was AWESOME. I have been searching for an inexpensive place to eat sushi and this... More

Decided We wanted Sushi seen the sigh and went in. The lady in cameo told us to set were we wanted. The place was not very nice but some times dive food is good. We order tea from a very nice looking Waitress and started looking at he menu. A man looking like a crack head came up to the... More

We stumbled upon this place on Easter when staying in the city and walking, and decided on a whim to try it since not a lot was open. They give you free spring onion flatbread as an appetizer, which is nice. It seems like a college place. Staff are student like and are very attentive. The menu is low on... More

Reviews on foodie sites recommended this place. The place itself however was scary. The waitstaff were grungy punk rockers; we had at least 3 different of them, all needed a bath and shave. They hovered over the food prep area chatting it up. The cash out counter is a clutter of mish-mash; the owners are oblivious to patrons until it... More
