The follow the locals. They have great taste!

This place isn't much to look at from the outside but the eclectic and historic look of the inners, the hospitality and Goodness gracious, the food are something to behold. We came upon this place the night before while in our search for grouper bites. We came around 4:00 there were two men sitting outside smoking when we started up the steps they got up and went in they were the cook and I assume bus boy. None of the me working looked very clean. We were the only people... More

We were in Savannah during the seafood festival and stopped at a tent that served crab balls with hot sauce. The hot sauce was amazing, we were told it came from Bayou Cafe. We went to Bayou Cafe had a couple drinks and bought a bottle of the sauce. Drinks, service and sauce were all good.

This is a bar/restaurant. We were quite surprised by the quality of the food and reasonable prices. Bartender/waiter Jordan was very pleasant and attentive. Made us feel down home welcome. Located on the river... stop in.

Visited Savannah recently and found the Bayou Café located on the river front. A small place but the menu got our attention. The place is small not real comfortable but did have that environment. The menu was Cajon inspired, I ordered the gumbo and my wife ordered a cajon dish as well. Here is where the mix review occurs, the... More

We went on a Sunday night, not sure what to expect. The boiled shrimp was fresh and the bartender Rick took care of us. The one man band that played had quite a variety of music and by the end of the night the whole dance floor was full. We really enjoyed ourselves!

This place has a band every night and their drink prices are reasonable. It is small, but cozy. We went 2 different nights and loved the bands both nights. One was jazz and one was more light classic rock. Definitely a place to visit to listen to music. Sorry we did not sample any of their food, but what was... More

Stumbled on this spot while into our hour of a 20 minute wait for another restaurant. Excellent surprise!!! We were sat right away and the service was immediate on a Saturday night!. Live music was playing and a steady stream of people came and went. Food was good and wait time was average, despite the busy dinner hour. Drinks were... More

The food was great but the atmosphere was a bit rustic. Not very much seating is available but the quality of the food we had for lunch was very good.
