Great time on a Sunday night

We went on a Sunday night, not sure what to expect. The boiled shrimp was fresh and the bartender Rick took care of us. The one man band that played had quite a variety of music and by the end of the night the whole dance floor was full. We really enjoyed ourselves!

This is a bar/restaurant. We were quite surprised by the quality of the food and reasonable prices. Bartender/waiter Jordan was very pleasant and attentive. Made us feel down home welcome. Located on the river... stop in.

Visited Savannah recently and found the Bayou Café located on the river front. A small place but the menu got our attention. The place is small not real comfortable but did have that environment. The menu was Cajon inspired, I ordered the gumbo and my wife ordered a cajon dish as well. Here is where the mix review occurs, the... More

This place has a band every night and their drink prices are reasonable. It is small, but cozy. We went 2 different nights and loved the bands both nights. One was jazz and one was more light classic rock. Definitely a place to visit to listen to music. Sorry we did not sample any of their food, but what was... More

Stumbled on this spot while into our hour of a 20 minute wait for another restaurant. Excellent surprise!!! We were sat right away and the service was immediate on a Saturday night!. Live music was playing and a steady stream of people came and went. Food was good and wait time was average, despite the busy dinner hour. Drinks were... More

The food was great but the atmosphere was a bit rustic. Not very much seating is available but the quality of the food we had for lunch was very good.

This came as a recommendation from our trolley guide, and she was right...this place was yummy. Many people in my group got the grouper fish basket, and they loved it! I had the red bean and rice burrito smothered in jambalaya (don't remember the name) and it was wonderful! I added some of that cajun hot sauce and yum! We... More

I can't say enough good things about Bayou Cafe. We eat at this great spot at least once, usually more on every visit to Savannah. Food is consistently awesome and service is always friendly. Peel and eat warm shrimp is plentiful and spiced perfectly. Buy some of their Cajun hot sauce to take with you! Yummy!

The gumbo and the Crawford etoufee were the best I have had in Georgia!!! We went back the second day of our 3 day trip. Everyone is personable and amazingly friendly. Will be a spot we will go to every time we are in Savannah. And this place does not break the bank!!
