First visit to Savannah, so we walked up & down the strip checking out the menus of all the restaurants. My girlfriend wanted Cajun shrimp pasta so we gave this place a shot. Normally I might have left upon entering, but there was a guy playing guitar & singing that was really good; so we sat down. Our server was... More

Just ate dinner there the other night. The service was the best we have seen in Savannah. The owner trained his staff to perfection , especially Ashley. The food was made exactly as the description. I had shrimp and crab au gratin and it came bubbly hot and delicious. Usually I. Would never suggest eating steak in a seafood place... More

The place looks a bit shady. The guy who greeted us as we entered was friendly and had a great sense of humor. The food was great just don't use the restroom.

The place is a rat hole dive bar. Even the bar tender described it as such. Above the bar is a collection of dirt and dust probably left over from black beards days. The food is really good, I had the jambalaya. Which I would highly recommend. The down side to this place is the staff. They are friendly and... More

This is our 2nd visit here. My husband loves the fried pickles. His favorite is the shrimp basket and I've tried the fried caesar salad and a cheeseburger. It's a pleasurable atmosphere and the servers work hard. I would highly recommend a visit.

Great food, great people and a great view of river street and the water. I'm from San Diego so I ordered the cajun burrito, it was huge and so good! My dad got the sampler with the ettoufee, seafood gumbo and gator jambalaya which was also very impressive. Ricky was very friendly and helpful and put up all my dad's...... More

We stopped in here because we were starving after a day in historic savannah... We were greeted promptly.. It wasn't busy... The food was fabulous... And the fried pickles were outstanding! We will definitely come back here... Should be on diners, drive-in & dives!!!

Fantastic food far surpassed our expectations at The Bayou Cafe. It looks like a nighttime hangout, but don't be put off at all. You can tell the kitchen cares because even the po boy is exquisite. My husband had the combo of gumbo, jambalaya, and étouffée and with all the wonderful choices in Savannah, he wants to return for dinner!... More
