One of the city's most consistently stylish restaurants evokes a low-key, counterculture bistro, but its cuisine is grander and more cutting-edge than its industrial-looking decor and its level of hipness would imply. Wrapped in warm brick and cool steel, the Sapphire Grill has steeped itself in a history of fine culinary tradition. Christopher Nason is the owner and the most talked about chef of the moment in Savannah, preparing what he defines as a "coastal cuisine" based on seafood hauled in on the day of its preparation from nearby waters. From seasonal chanterelles and oregon black truffles, to the most tender cuts of meat and delicate seafood, Chef Nason and his team work feverishly to keep Sapphire at the mark expected of her.

Business dinner for 9 people. They set up a long table for us on the 3rd floor. I had their signature grouper dish. Prepared perfectly with a panko crust. Excellent service and everyone seemed pleased with their dinner selections. Good wine selection as well. Can't go wrong with this place in my opinion.

Fairly small restaurant. We were visiting Savannh and thiis restaurant was highly recommended. Our chicken with brie and grouper were both OK but we've had better. Atmosphere is "soul-less" but wait staff tried really hard. A bit of a disappointment overall.

This is a must for foodies in Savannah. Small old row house conversion in the city market area. Menu is ambitious with longtime favourites and weekly new experiments. All is cooked and plated at a high standard. Serving sizes are surprisingly large. Wine list is not extensive but very well selected: I don't see anything missing. Sauternes by the glass... More

The environment was splendid. The charm and warmth set the stage for our dinner gala. The upstairs offered beautiful art and a cozy setting. The entree's were DELICIOUS! I had sword fish and sweet potato squash with green veggies (melted in my mouth), hubby and son had children (which by the way, hubby said by far this was the best... More

We visit Sapphire Grill every time we come to Savannah- about 2x's a year. In fact, we hosted our wedding reception there on 2/28/15. Since this isn't a review about their catering/large group abilities, I'll simply mention that we returned to this restaurant the night after our wedding with a small group to experience this wonderful restaurant all over again!... It was great surprise promoted by our colleagues in the first dinner at Savannah. Amazing wine list and outstanding service from the waiters. The meal? It is just all we needed that day: wonderful! We were very well received in the last floor. Unforgettable. It is a must for who is visiting Savannah.

The dinner at the Sapphire Grill is simply amazing. The warm southern welcome, great cocktails and food is a great place for a business dinner. The calamari is to die for so is the tune steak we had as mains. I can highly recommend the place, a night to remember

Cool upscale spot. Drinks and service are topnotch and the dinners and deserts worth every penny you spend, and it is a bit pricey.

Went there on a non-busy Wednesday night. Server was good. Food was mediocre. Final bill for 2 of us---$210.00. That included an appetizer that tasted undercooked. An underwhelming entree for myself. Ahi tuna entree for the wife that was so-so. Bottle of wine that was decent for $48.00 that our "Delectable" wine app said retails for $10.00. I get the... More
