Description: One of the city's most consistently stylish restaurants evokes a low-key, counterculture bistro, but its cuisine is grander and more cutting-edge than its industrial-looking decor and its level of hipness would imply. Wrapped in warm brick and cool steel, the Sapphire Grill has steeped itself in a history of fine culinary tradition. Christopher Nason is the owner and the most talked about chef of the moment in Savannah, preparing what he defines as a "coastal cuisine" based on seafood hauled in on the day of its preparation from nearby waters. From seasonal chanterelles and oregon black truffles, to the most tender cuts of meat and delicate seafood, Chef Nason and his team work feverishly to keep Sapphire at the mark expected of her.

Very good service, very good food, nice location - good wine selections - one of the better dining experiences I have had in Savannah. Enjoyed the foie gras and the duck breast was cooked to my liking. All in all an enjoyable evening and the price didn't shock me. Will return on my next visit.

Our second visit was as good as the first! The grouper was excellent as was the tuna steak. Jackie provided excellent service. They have a very nice wine selection and the Jordan wine is our first choice.

We were given the recommendation by the Inn in which we were staying (Hamilton Turner, also highly recommended) and I am glad we listened. It was a Sunday evening, last day of our vacation and we wanted to end it in style. The restaurant was not at all busy, having less than half the tables occupied. Our server Erin expertly... More

Nice assortment of entree choices. We both had the bouillabaisse, which was very good. A bit spicier than other bouillabaisses that I've had. It would be nice if they offered more soup and salad choices for starters. The dessert choices were impressive. We ordered the sampler for two - which was more then we needed, but very good. The wine... More

We enjoyed our meal and the service, but it was so over the top expensive for just an entree each and one glass of wine. It was over $100….no appetizer, no dessert….just one entree each and a shared glass of wine.

This restaurant is located on Congress street, near Paula Dean's. Recommended by our concierge. We were greeted and seated in the upstairs dining room. What a surprise! The lack of windows was more than compensated by the space between tables. You could hear no other conversation and could dine in a civilized manner. A table of eight was the next... More

The Saphire Grill offers elegant, exquisite dining in a very friedly atmosphere. I was impressed by the suprise element in every dish, the bread included a mix of spices and herbs unexpected for a bread, yet very tasty. The same applied to the fish, a successful mix of local and asian flavours. I was expecting a pricey wine list and... More

A great dinner spot! It’s difficult to find healthier options in the south, so we were impressed with the menu option to choose your food (steak, shrimp, chicken) and have it cooked with your choice of sauce and preparation. My husband and I both enjoyed grilled shrimp and with sauces on the side. I also ordered a delicious cauliflower mash... More
