After reading several good reviews here for Sapphire Grill, I tried it on a Saturday night with a friend. To the point - I ordered the Chicken with Brie and Pear, which sounded delicious. I was very disappointed when I didn't taste any hint of brie or pears. I thought the chicken would be stuffed with it, but instead it... more

I came with my wife Jessica for our anniversary and I must say, the food was just so fabulous! I never had calimari that tasted as good as theirs. The grouper and tuna were also to die for! My wife was so impressed with our evening which was for our anniversary, that we intend on coming back regularly to eat... more

We had a fine seafood meal here. Everything was fresh, tasty, and creatively prepared. While the restaurant's lower level has the bar and can be noisy, we like to chat quietly throughout a meal so we ate in the upstairs room. It was perfect -- small, nicely decorated, calm, almost like a private hideaway. So why only four rating points... more

I went to Sapphire as part of a class trip to Savannah. I was looking forward to it all week. It was what I expected- very good, and not cheap. It is a very quiet, dark restaurant that has SCAD paintings on the walls. The first floor is the bar, the second the kitchen, and the third the majority of... more

Sapphire Grill came highly recommended and we couldn't have been more disappointed. We were all underwelmed with our meals but the duck was so tough you couldn't eat it. We graciously sent it back and asked for chicken. Two of us were done with our meal and the third person in our party still hadn't been served her chicken. We... more

We went to Sapphire and the steak was just like leather, even at medium rare. In this day and age and for a restaurant to claim it is 'high-end' is not acceptable. Source some real beef and not some shoe sole. Wouldnt recommend anything here. The location is nice but as usual in USA nice location does not equate with... more

Sapphire Grill was by far the best meal we ate in Savannah. My husband and I recently returned from a four day weekend trip to Savannah that we designed around food. We love to eat well and had heard great things about Savannah's restaurants. We sampled three of the supposed bests (Sapphire Grill, 700 Drayton and The Olde Pink House)... more

We read the reviews. We went. We were underwhelmed. Good service, romantic decor and creative presentation don't make up for minuscule portions and lack of flavor. I can do nouvelle cuisine, but I expect veggies to be at least "al dente" not raw and just because you steam one sea scallop, plop it on the plate and decorate with bland... more

I have dined at Sapphire Grill on many occasions and has never failed to impress me. The plates are always well thought out, rarely over complicated, and always impeccably executed. The atmosphere is relaxed yet vibrant, with just enough light and just enough shadow, and without listening to tired old jazz like every other upper end restaurant. The staff is... more

Accidentally ordered the chef's tasting table ($110 per person) but it was the best meal I've ever had. The Foie Gras is phenominal. So good that I didn't mind the price. more
