One of the city's most consistently stylish restaurants evokes a low-key, counterculture bistro, but its cuisine is grander and more cutting-edge than its industrial-looking decor and its level of hipness would imply. Wrapped in warm brick and cool steel, the Sapphire Grill has steeped itself in a history of fine culinary tradition. Christopher Nason is the owner and the most talked about chef of the moment in Savannah, preparing what he defines as a "coastal cuisine" based on seafood hauled in on the day of its preparation from nearby waters. From seasonal chanterelles and oregon black truffles, to the most tender cuts of meat and delicate seafood, Chef Nason and his team work feverishly to keep Sapphire at the mark expected of her.

Our hotel concierge recommended this restaurant. Upon walking in we were ignored until we asked someone to help us. Not welcoming. The service was good once seated but our waiter smelled very strong of cigarette smoke. It was a little nauseating. The food itself was good. We had the duck and chicken dishes. The potato side that came with the... More

Finally I got the chance to bring my husband here, and he was not disappointed. In a city with so many good restaurants this one continues to be my favorite. The food is well prepared and presented, the waiter was knowledgable and had the right level of presence. A delightful evening. We'll be back on our next Savannah trip.

After having a flight cancelled following a weekend of delicious Savannah food, I decided to uber back into the city for one last good meal before an unplanned extra overnight in Savannah. I found Sapphire Grill because it was open later on a Monday night. You can get a table at 9:30 here on Monday! The atmosphere was classy, but... More

Had a great dinner. Nice matin is to start. Fabulous Caesar salad. I had the crab cake appetizer for my main course. No one makes them like Maryland, but these were second best. He had swordfish with frites which was divine.

We pulled into Savannah very late after a long drive. We randomly chose Sapphire Grill for a few light offerings. When we saw their full menu, we decided to come back another night. We started with the Sapphire signature Caesar salad. It is ample, and deliciously filled with tangy parmesan cheese. No dry romaine here. Every leaf was coated. I... More

Nice restaurant with very good dishes, especially the starters were excellent. We shared calamaris and crab cakes, and I can recommend both. I would recommend a table reservation, especially on weekends as the place is very popular.

Would definitely go again. Wonderful sophisticated menu servers were right there for you but did not hover.

Food was excellent, nice atmosphere, good service. Some interesting dishes on the menu, we were a party of 7 and everyone enjoyed from teenagers to pensioners.
