We were in Savannah visiting relatives and we're looking for a restaurant that offered something different than the chain restaurant menus. Toucan Restaurant didn't disappoint. We arrived during lunch hours and we're greeted by a friendly hostess that seated us immediately. The lunch menu isn't extensive, but includes a unique array of standard options and special offerings. I ordered the... More

Toucan is a favorite for a lunch spot! It has a lot of great choices and some are very interesting! Everything I've eaten there has been delicious and the prices are really not too shabby! The desserts are made fresh every day and never disappoint! You can dress up or go in work-out wear and feel comfortable there. The ambiance... More

We visited on a Monday evening after work and found the place to be in pretty rough shape. A rusty water filled fountain greeted us up front follow by a pretty dirty feeling place overall. Most importantly to us, the food was lackluster at best. We tried a black & blue salad followed by a Mediterranean salmon. We had heard... More

I have to admit, it's really surprising to read about your visit. Cleanliness is our top priority, so I apologize if that wasn't made completely clear to you. That said, we use the freshest ingredients and carefully crafted recipes for all of our dishes, so it's a shame that your meal wasn't up to par. We're always looking for ways... More

This place is away from all the tourist areas, so it's a safe haven for locals. I give it 5 stars across the board. We'll definitely go back, as long as the tourists don't overrun the place and turn it into a circus like most places downtown. My gf and I dined early evening on a Monday. The atmosphere inside... It means a lot to me that you felt your pork tenderloin was one of the best meals you've had in a restaurant in months. I appreciate your compliments on our atmosphere, too. Looking forward to having you back... More

Soon as you walk in you are greated with the best service. The choices on the menu all looked so good. But with a big family we narrowed it down. So we could all sample the souths best creations. Shrimp and grits ,to a seafood spread. It was all wonderful and not badly priced. A excellent way to start off... More

I come to Toucan Cafe every time I visit my kids in savanna. Driving over, I'm already thinking: "do I want the bourbon salmon? Do I want the Moroccan salmon? Do I want one of their wonderful salads where they'll make any substitution I ask for? And who will we run into? Because, is my son-in-law commented something we love... More

Went for a lunch with 2 others while on vacation in Savannah. Tried the special of the day, which was pecan crusted chicken over a salad. While good, I would not call it phenomenal. It felt like the salad was missing something, maybe just my preference of a salad............Our waitress was the friendliest we met during our entire trip. Wish... More

Had a great meal tonight, some of the staff had a little difficulty accommodating our large group but we were not in a hurry so not a deal breaker. Has the gyro, goat cheese appetizer, jerk chicken and Marsala, loved it all. We would go back.

From the very begging, it felt like there is no enough personnel in this place. Manager was running around without noticing us... Our waiter was not very attentive at all and it look like she had to leave to do many other things. Food was not bad, average, but nothing special. Place is not very expensive, but I would not... We were just in Georgia for the day and went to the Toucan cafe for dinner, and it was phenomenal!
