I go here often for lunch. The price is amazingly affordable for what high value you receive. My number one favorite is their Cuban sandwich, exquisitely prepared every bite is savored. If asparagus is in season get that as well, I have tried to emulate the preparation method but Maxwell's always tastes so much better. A perfect site for a... More

My husband and I had a wonderful meal tonight. we started with lemongrass martinis and the beef carpaccio. For our main course we had petite filet with crab cake and the stuffed tilapia. The food was excellent. The atmosphere was small and intimate. They had a singer who added just the right tunes to make it a special evening.Highly recommended. It is... More

Two couples enjoyed dinner at Maxwell's for the first time. With the intimate atmosphere of a small well-designed restaurant Maxwell's has great food (we had the grilled salmon and a ravioli special) and enjoyable music provided by Chuck on the saxophone. The owner makes you feel completely welcome, the bar is cozy, and the ambiance is great. If you are... More

Scallops with fennel puree were excellent. Cocktails were out of this world. I came home and recreated a drink with jalapeño, Herradura tequila and Cointreau. It is awesome...try it. We had the misfortune of walking in 30 seconds after a bridal rehearsal party of eight had been seated. Normally, this could throw a small restaurant into a spin.....but our server... More

We popped in to split a a few apps and sat at the bar. Kind, attentive bartender who served up tasty cocktails. The beef carpaccio was amazing as were the spring rolls. Very cute and cozy inside. Wonderful locale.

Maxwell's is a small, homey kind of place. Our entrees were rack of lamb (good but not noteworthy) and a very good crab cake sitting atop a petite filet and covered with a garlic cream sauce. Skip the Caesar salad. Service was good and friendly....not particularly experienced but good nonetheless. Be aware that the kitchen is small so on busy... More

We had one night in Savannah, and we decided to eat dinner at Maxwell's. The avocado spring rolls were delish! My hubby had stuffed quail, which he said was plate-licking good. I had the chicken which was also good. It's not a very big place, so best to reserve ahead.

Been twice recently. Fun small bar area.Reasonable wine list and options by the glass. Avocado spring roll , delicious and different, lots of anchovies on the Caesar. Wonderful Veal Chop and excellent Filet and Crab cake combo, lots of Haricot Vert; but a bit limp recently. Roasted fingerlings; nice but could have some variety. Chicken Saltimbocca , a signature dish.... More
