My husband and I spent several days in Savannah during the holidays. We went in for lunch and were not disappointed. The restaurant is beautiful, the staff very friendly, and the food was excellent. So good that we decided to go back to Maxwell's for dinner. Dinner was just as good! This restaurant is done so well that the only... More

Maxwell's is a warm and cozy little restaurant with fantastic food and the best service I've had in years. I was amazed what the chef was able to produce from the very tiny two man kitchen. Our meals were delicious! The bartender, Kevin, was knowledgable and extremely friendly. The chef came out and spoke with us for a bit. It's... More

Romantic little spot with amazing food. Lobster cocktail & avocado egg rolls delicious! Lamb chops cooked perfectly and scallops are like butter. Fantastic dinner!!! Found it on open table looking for somewhere to eat near our B&B. Took a chance and canceled our reservations at Elizabeth's where the corkage fee is $35, by the way. At Maxwell's only $10. Beautiful... More

This is one of the prettiest restaurants in Savannah, however............... The Christmas decorations ( great florist) and ambiance are to die for and they have a wonderful bar and very good drinks. The food leaves a lot to be desired. We were shopping in downtown Savannah and had wanted to check out this restaurant for quite some time. My wife... More

The food here was EXCEPTIONAL. My wife and I were visiting from out of town and we met up with my extended family for a quite, 4-person dinner here. The service was wonderful; Kevin was both entertaining and efficient. The Avocado Egg Rolls were amazing. Very different from what one would expect, but all the flavors go so well together;... More

Excellent atmosphere, food and service - that is what I look for in a restaurant. I'm not picky. :-) We called because we had friends in from out of town and wanted to take them to a special place. Although we have been in Savannah for a while, we had never been to Maxwell's. We'd always heard good things. So,... More

I came into Maxwell's for the first time about two days after my 21st birthday. Unlike a good portion of my peers who spent their birthdays at bars and shoddy games of beer bong- I had decided that I wanted something a bit more special. Upon entering Maxwell's I took notice of a few things right away: The decor is... More

Quite simply, there wasn't a single thing "wrong" or lacking during our first visit to this restaurant. For my wife's birthday, we chose Maxwell's over any other place in Savannah. So glad we did. Ambiance was as good as it gets (a back corner table with a view of the bar and an attractive book case next to us....candle lit,... More

We just left this restaurant 15 minutes ago. It was so awful I had to post immediately. It took 1 hour 29 minutes from the time we placed our food order to receive our food and then it wasn't correct! The waiter never checked back on us during this wait to let us know what the issue was. One member... More

I am very sorry that you were disappointed in your experience at Maxwells on the 24th of October. This was a very busy night and yes you were in the restaurant for 1 1/2 hours. We did however comp your drinks and appetizers for the five of you as a way of showing you that we were indeed sorry that... More

This was our first time to Maxwell's. Our server Kevin was professional, courteous and kind. Eating in a great restaurant should mean a great experience not just good food. The food is well prepared by a seasoned chef. My wife and I both had the crab cake and steak served with a creamy wine sauce. The crab cake was pure... More
