American-style French dining

The decor in the main restaurant draws inspiration from various periods in French history, and is almost overwhelming. The experience is French dining, but adapted, we presume, to suit American tastes. The food is actually pretty good: the most "French" of the dishes we had were my wife's chicken... read more

We were a party of six visiting savannah for a couple of days and chose this restaurant based upon reviews on this site. All of the appetizers were very good, especially the onion soup and the beet salad. The two people who ordered steaks both said their meals were awesome, in fact one stated that the fillet was the most... More

Great food, excellent service, good wine list. Bistro type fair. Sat downstairs both times and enjoyed the atmosphere. It's cozy and dark and enjoyable.

This was absolutely one of the best dinners we had during our two week trip. The food was delicious and the setting fantastic. It was French food cooked right but with southern hospitality and southern-sized portions!

This quaint French bistro/cafe serves some of the most wonderful food we've had the pleasure to enjoy. The atmosphere is delightful, the service impeccable and the food, well, I think they say, "C'est magnifique!" The Crepes aux Crevettes is excellent. I was pleasantly shocked, too, at the inexpensive call-brand drinks. No visit to Savannah is complete without dinner at Circa... More

The venue is in the historic district and has restaurant seating and a separate bar seating area. Both are appointed well. Seated promptly upon arrival and water, bread and our cocktail order was taken promptly. Our server, Lynn, was friendly, informative and while present when needed, unobtrusive. We appreciate a server with the ability to time inquiries and allow the... More

Wonderful service, beautiful atmosphere and delicious food. We made a reservation and arrived a bit early. We were shown to a lovely little table in the pub to enjoy a cocktail. The wine list is extensive & the

We had booked our table months ahead and arrived 5 minutes early. On arrival we were informed that they had to clear the table and would be a few minutes. We were shown to the bar. The bar waitress came to ask if we needed another drink and when told we were waiting for our table in the restaurant she... More

Our dinner was very good but we were seated in the wine cellar aka the dungeon. Details: First, the good - the food. We had the soup du jour which was tomato bisque (very good), the flash fried frisée salad (excellent), the chicken breast (very good) and the house-made beef sausage (excellent). Our waiter was very personable and knowledgeable. He... More
