Great french classics and charming atmosphere

Dark woods and the expected heavy wood, french decor, don't disappoint with red glass candles and wine motif throughout. We ate in the downstairs room which was especially charming and had a chalk door on which they had written the wines available by the glass - neat touch. I ordered a glass of... read more

I had the salade maison to start. It was fine but sometimes you get those light as air dressings on greens in a French restaurant. The dressing was a perfectly respectable balsamic but was not in the light as air realm. But the shrimp crepes were marvelous, with just a hint of Pernod in the sauce. Really delicate. Hubby has... Of all the meals my best friend and I had in Savannah this was the hands down best. It felt like a lovely French bistro. There was a buzz, the service was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu but it was not pretentious. My friend and I shared an order of foie gras. It is one of the best melt... More

We chose this restaurant because of Tripadvisor reviews and its convenient location to our hotel. We arrived early, without a reservation at 5:00 on a Wednesday. Didn't think we needed a reservation, but certainly glad we went early. It fills up fast. My wife had an escargot starter (her favorite) and I chose, what else, the French Onion Soup (my... More

Circa 1875 - a combination of food, ambience and staff approaching perfection. We ate there 3 out of 4 nights only because we erred our first night not knowing of this restaurant's existence. We could make this restaurant a life-time habit. We have eaten at some wonderful restaurants in NYC and in Europe, but have not found one that is... More

This was a neat little place in a great location. Small and very unique, and was not an overly tourist driven restaurant it seemed. Lots of locals and a great vibe. Steak Frites was great, and with Truffle Oil even better. Cant wait to go again soon

The food is always excellent as is the service. The pork chop was very good. The wine selection is great.

My wife and I attended a small birthday party for a friend. The event was held in a cozy room below street level where there is seating for approximately 20-25 people. The staff was very attentive. Because this was a planned event each guest had a selection of a chicken, seafood or steak as the entre. At our table the... More

We ate at Circa 1875 on our first night in Savannah and had a wonderful time. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was incredibly friendly and professional. We ate on the bar side which we actually preferred to the dining room. we got there just as they began serving food which was perfect as it did get quite... More

Service, food, atmosphere. What more could you ask? Enjoyed this restaurant tremendously. Our server treated us like guests in her own home and the food was off the chart good.
