I read all the reviews and decided to give the place a try. The food is absolutely delicious. I had oxtails, yellow rice, macaroni & cheese and the collard greens. The oxtails were extremely tender and tasty. The macaroni was well seasoned and delicious, and the greens had a hint of sugar (just like my mommy makes it!), and were... More

We were looking for some real southern cooking--and we found it! The food was terrific! Their glazed yams were like dessert; the macaroni and cheese were great (on the dry side, which I prefer); and the fried chicken was wonderful! An entree, 3 side dishes and a soda for under $9! This was one of our best meals on our... More

Having been born and raised in the South, I know what a good meat & three joint is supposed to be like, and this place is spot on. Went around 2:00 and had the lunch special (meat & two sides plus a cornbread muffin) for around $6 plus a piece of cake for around $4. Here's what I ate and... More

We came with party of 10. Like every one said, food line was kinda like Piccadilly. You are on line and pick out what you want. Food was fresh and hot. I had the chicken. It was a small leg and thigh. It was really delicious, juicy fried just right. I had Mac and cheese, collards and okra. It was... More

We tried Sisters because of hearsay..So we decided to check it out..We dont have soul food restaurant like this in NC..Its small and easy to find. Its a order first and pay then eat. There was a line the whole time we were there. Waiting is the worse part of course. We had the fried chicken and smothered pork chops..they... More

There's no sign by the road for this place, so it was a bit hard to find after dark. But boy was it worth it! The only way I'll eat okra is when it's mixed with tomato's and was so happy to find it here. Try the smothered pork chops, you won't be sorry.

This is authentic southern cooking at it's best. The price is very agreeable to any budget. Like most prepay type restaurants. You pay for food and service and hope for the best. Service is okay, but I would rather tip based on the actual service. Other than that, it was good.

The selections of vegetables and meats are great. I'm just not accustumed to sugar in my greens, green beans, okra and tomatoes, and cornbread.
