Southern Home Cookin'

I understand there are two Sisters locations. We ate at the one in Pooler. I asked at the hotel desk where we could get some authentic Southern fried chicken. We wanted to try a locally owned restaurant and not a chain. They sent us to Sisters. The service is cafateria style where you order... read more

I am happy to see that small business owners still exist!!! The selection and quality of the Menu choices is out of a scale of measurement. Down home Soul Food, cooked from the Soul and served with the utmost of "Southern Hospitality". Everything is AWESOME and fresh!!! Top off your meal choice with my favorite the "Three is ONE"! Blessings... More

If your Grandma was a really good cook then she would like Sisters. You step through the front door and you're right in the kitchen - or at least the serving counter. And when you look down to decide what you want to eat your eyes might become bigger than your belly. There are so many mouth watering dishes to... More

Wow, we just had an amazing dinner here. The food was so tasty and the portions were huge. Hubby had smothered pork chops, green beans fried chicken(1piece), yellow rice, and yams. I had fried oysters, collard greens,Mac and cheese, and butter beans. Yum,yum, yum. We also got corn bread too. We were way too full for the peach cobbler or red velvet cake. This... More

I was truly impressed with the speed and taste of all of our food. From the iced tea to the turkey wings with collard greens, Mac and cheese and yams, and of course cornbread. I had no room for the dessert. I will come again. The service was kind, friendly and courtesy. The food came hot and fast. We even... More

The food was ok, but the building needs a lot work and it had a smell. It was raining when I arrived and I notice that the A/C ducks were leaking and they had a bucket to catch the water (not good for business) The employees are very friendly.

This was by far the worst restaurant in Savannah! The food was not good they brought mine out but not my husband's, we had to share my sandwich and even that was the world's smallest pork chop in 2 pieces of bread and some brown lettuce. That was all there was! So after we finished that they brought my husband's... More

The wide variety of dishes allowed me - to my great surprise -- to put together a reasonably healthy lunch - grilled shrimp, collards, okra with tomatoes. All very tasty. Service was okay, in a brusque sort of way.
