Amaazing!! Hubby and I were driving through and located this spot before we entered town. I had been craving genuine southern down home cooking. This place hit the spot. The set up is a little different. More cafeteria style on a small scale. You go through the line and let them know what meat you... read more

We found Sisters of the South with a groupon and decided to make it our first stop when traveling to Savannah. It was a bit confusing to order since there was a lunch special for fried chicken (which we wanted). I guess I felt that after I placed the order for lunch, I was told that groupon did not apply... Family who live locally took us here and swear this place has great food. We just had an okay experience. A woman cut in between us and the rest of our party and she was ordering from a list to take out 4 meals. She then argued with them because they wouldn't give her the lunch price because she ordered... More

Nice, cozy restaurant; friendly employees; and convenient location all make Sisters an attractive addition to Skidaway rd. However, these beneficial external features pale in comparison to the quality of the food! Whether I was eating their turkey wings, liver and onion, or smothered shrimp, I have never left Sisters disappointed! Their delicious soul-food makes me excited to try every item... More

The fried chicken, mac and cheese, and fried okra were all quite good. The collards were a tad too salty. This isn't a place that's fancy, but for good food that tastes like it's home-cooked, I would recommend it.

I had oxtails they had a little too much gristle for me. However the fried okra was probably the best I have ever eaten! And I love fried okra. I also had macaroni and cheese and lima beans. The macaroni and cheese was wonderful and a lima beans were good too but not extraordinary. I also had peach cobbler and... More

Lunch is always a good experience here. Great variety of homecooked favs like oxtails, fried chicken, tomatoes and okra, beans and rice. Service with a smile and a very clean atmosphere. I return again and again.

I went with friends in October and was disappointed. Sisters used to be delicious but since opening a 2nd location, it isn't the same. I picked up food to take home to the family a couple of weeks later and the only thing my family ate was the fried chicken. The sides were either burnt or tasted old. Gave them... More

Was recommended by our hotel as we wanted to get Fried Chicken. Restaurant was clean and friendly. When you go in, you need to go to the food counter to pick out your meal. It is loaded with options. We ordered the Fried Chicken with sides and it was excellent. The mac and cheese was a bit cold and not... More
