We were visiting the area and went here not knowing what to expect. It is primarily a take out place with a steam table full of food and a dining room on the side. We went for dinner so had choices of fried shrimp, fried oysters, oxtail, pork chops, fried or baked chicken.with a choice of 3 sides like yams,... More

Me and my family traveled from Florida to Georgia for my 43rd Birthday. I had read such great reviews on this restaurant it's all I could talk about. When we arrived we could see the food behind the glass it looked great but once we tasted our food we were very disappointed. I wanted all white meat the server kept... More

Found this gem on TripAdvisor and so glad we followed the advice! The building itself isn't all that inviting, but do not pass this place up. The inside is nicely decorated if casual. Food is mostly already prepared and you go through cafeteria-style, telling the ladies behind the glass what you want on your plate. First, let's get the "negatives"... More

The restaurant building is not going to exceed your expectations, but don't turn around and go home. Similarly the serving style, buckets of food, a bored looking slop mistress, and wall mounted menus can be a little daunting. However, the food is good, actually more than good. I had pork chops (2) with gravy, macaroni and cheese, cornbread, and sweet... More

I agree with reviewers who stated that some of the cashier's and wait staff seem to be rude. It seems that these rude people did not take their customer services training seriously. Whenever I went to the Skidaway location, some of the cashiers and wait staff had such an attitude. It was as if I was bothering them, only thing... More

Using a Groupon that we had purchased online. We decided to try real southern cooking for the first time. We were not disappointed. I can't speak for the others but I had a lip smacking delicious dinner entree of "Smothered pork chops" with a side order of collard greens, red rice and corn. It was well worth the $9.49. I... More

My boyfriend and I were taking a spontaneous road trip, starting in Ky and ending in Ga, we searched, and searched, and came across (sisters) on Trip advisor, and we loved it! just what we had in mind, well seasoned, cooked down, good southern, soul food! it was kind of cafeteria style, we went through and picked what we wanted,... This restaurant was the best tasting soul food restaurant that I've had in many years. It was clean and the workers were friendly. I had pork chops, greens, sweet potatoes, & Mac n cheese. Everything was fresh and tarred like my mom wax in threes kitchen. I will Steinhardt recommend anyone and will be going back whenever I'm in Savannah.... More

We enjoyed every bite we ate at this restaurant. We all had fried oysters, which they cooked up for us fresh. We were served a whole dozen and they were perfect! The mac'n cheese was to die for. The green beans were perfectly seasoned. I would have licked my plate if I had been at home! I might have to... More

We went here on recommendation from our hotel. We were looking for good old southern food and we were so glad we listened. Although the place is off the beaten path and not in your touristy areas you will walk into a great place with home cooked southern food. Our chicken and generous sides were delicious. The fried chicken was... More
