Great local beer hall and restaurant

This was truly a locals hangout. Many beers, on tap and bottled. The building was a family grocery back in the early 1900s. The new owners have retained the feel of the earlier times while creating a great spot to have a drink and dinner.

I was in town for a few days and ate at several restaurants. This was one of the best we tried. Great atmosphere, food and beer.

My wife and I stopped in for a drink & an appetizer before exploring Savannah more. We were blown away. What a great selection of brews! The place was crowded however we were lucky enough to grab a spot at the bar. Service was great so we ordered our beers and a bowl of the crab soup. Excellent choice! If... More

Okay, we'd read about this place on Tripadvisor so we were hyped. We arrived around 11:30pm, already forty minute wait for a table. We amused ourselves studying the various old papers and photographs along the hallway, we had a great view of outgoing food - a plus. We also wandered into the bar to check out the draft beers -... While traveling to Savannah for a night, my wife discovered Crystal Beer Parlor and decided we should check it out. Upon confirming with a bartender at the Embassy Suites that it was a good place, we were sold. We walked into the restaurant on a Saturday night around 730, and were told that the wait was 1 hr 45 minutes.... More

We went to this restaurant originally because our tour guide recommended it to us for lunch.......fantastic burger, fries & beer! Loved it so much we went again for dinner. On some nights you may have a long wait.....but it is worth it!

This restaurant came highly recommended (and highly rated). A local described it to us as "speakeasy meets Vintage" so we had high expectations for lunch. The restaurant had just opened when we arrived and we were seated immediately (30 minutes later the lobby was literally packed with people waiting for a table - reminded me when my flight got cancelled... Spent the weekend in Savannah and wanted to try places I had been as a kid. We ate at the Crystal Beer Parlor and remember the onion rings and the unpaved parking behind the restaurant covered in strips of shingles. It is now paved, but the onion rings are just as good as I remember. I had a hamburger with... More

We stopped by for lunch on the way out of town after a two day visit. This place still has great service and food. Our server was helpful and informative, the beer selection outstanding and as always a menu item for everyone. Not to be missed!!

A little tricky to find but went for lunch. We were seated within about 10 minutes - despite the hostess talking on her cell phone the entire time we were waiting and even when being seated - on what was obviously a personal call. HI had the fried pork chop (2)special ( forgot when they say fried in the south... More

Thanks so much for writing! As we're currently set up, all calls go through the host stand and it's simply gotten to be too much for the person at the stand. I spoke with the hostess who was on duty the day of your visit and when I asked her about using her personal phone at work (which is a... More
