I'll admit it...I'm biased. I used to live near Chesapeake Bay and The Distillery -- owned by a transplanted Maryland family -- has brought the old bay to Savannah. Everything I've ever eaten here is superb and worth the price. The service is friendly, the bathrooms are large and clean, and the menu has a wide selection of dishes. If... More

Slow service, limited food choices - all bar foods and mostly fried, lighting too dim, too many beards and too much flannel.

Our B&B host recommended the Distillery and we are glad he did. We are not drinkers, so were not interested in the various libations, but they were hopping on a Thursday early evening during happy hour and have a large selection. My wife had the burger with carmelized onions, goat cheese, bacon, lettuce and tomato and decreed it the best... More

Excellent burger with goat cheese and bacon. Very very good. My wife had the grilled cheese and crab soup. Also tasty. The onion rings were also very tasty. Not out of this world, but very good.

We stopped in to get moon pies (whcih are fried there are require some time) after our tour of the Historic District. The place smelled terrible. Very few patrons at 5pm on a monday. I couldn't wait to get out. My son placed his moon pie order and I waited outside in the fresh air. And I'm a beer drinkier.... More

I was very surprised to find for as many "old taverns" that call Savannah home, no place has a better selection of craft that the relatively new "Distillery." & there menu is phenomenal. Not a bad item on the menu. Hint hint. Please try the fried moon pie. mmmmm

My hubby was looking for craft beer recently when we were visiting Savannah. This place was recommended and It was wonderful. Numerous beers on tap. Bartenders (Doug & Rudy) were very friendly. They had a great looking food menu but we only sampled the pretzels and cheese snack. Wished we would have had more of an appetite! Can't wait to... More

Went here on recommendation from the staff at the Embassy Suites for dinner. We came later on a Saturday night, and were seated right away. My wife tried several of the craft beers on recommendation from our server, and was impressed with each. The meal started off with crab bites... and believe me, there was CRAB in those bites! Remoulade... More

Made my latest of many visits over the years to the Distillery on a Saturday afternoon, 6/21. Sat at the bar, watched some World Cup soccer, enjoyed a few of the many craft brews they have on tap, along a basket of sweet potato fries. As always, great food (check out the fish and chips if you go for a... More

We visited The Distillery on a holiday getaway and we absolutely loved it! We sat at the bar and enjoyed a few beers before heading out to dinner and we had the opportunity to have some fun conversations with the staff and management. The bartenders, especially Boyce, were fabulous and it just added to the enjoyment of our visit. The... More
