Wow, I was really shocked. I guess I haven't been to a cupcake place for awhile, but I was shocked. We went into Cupcake Emporium expecting a to pay no more more than $2. for the cupcake that we got. They are $2.95 for a cupcake which is the same size that you can make at home for a $1/dozen.... More

We stopped here as part of our food tour and loved the cupcake we got (birthday cake) so much that we went out of our way to go back. Nice sized, reasonably priced and one of the best cupcakes I have had (other than my own). No wonder this place is so popular with celebrities and the like.

We stopped here for a quick snack, and break from the heat. I got the banana cupcake and it was really good. My daughter go the famous mable and she love it. The frosting was sweet, but most frostings are so I'm not complaining about that. And the cupcakes were very moist. Prices were not bad either. The macaroons were... More

We went on vacation in July and spent the week in Savannah. We saw the cupcake place and I wanted a cupcake. That was a mistake. It cost me $3.16 for a cupcake. The cupcake was coconut. There was not even a hint of coconut flavor. It was a plain cupcake with vanilla icing.

I have NO idea why people are raving about these cupcakes. The icing is SOOOO sugary. And the cake was stale and dry. It was like a Walmart cupcake.

Note -- we were here for a snack/dessert, a category missing from the options below so I checked coffee/tea which seemed to be the closest. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We were on a day trip from Hilton Head and on a stop from the Old Savannah Trolley tour. Walking through the historic part of the city mid-afternoon, we saw Mabel's and decided it... More

While spending the weekend in Savannah we indulged our sweet tooth in a cupcake tasting tour...after devouring the selections at Sweet Carolina's we had to try Cupcake Emporium to see how it compared...the reviews were amazing and our hopes were high. We split the Mabel's Famous cupcake....and I couldn't even finish my half. The icing was sickingly sweet and the... More

Mabel's Cupcakes are the best cupcakes in town...hands down, my favorite. I have been a regular fixture in this place since I discovered it over St. Patrick's Day. The cupcakes are moist and delicious. The frosting is delicate and doesn't overwhelm your palate. I haven't tried them all, but my favorites are Mabel's Famous and the Salted Carmel! If you... More

Best cupcakes I've had. My favorite is Mabel's Buttercream. Have also tried Dreamcicle, Confetti, Red Velvet, Georgia Pecan and Chocolate icing vanilla cake. They are all wonderful! Service is sometimes slow and it is crowded at times, but they are well worth the wait. The store on State is closing, but you can find the new store on Ellis Square.... More
