Cool dining!

My husband and I visited on a Wednesday evening after trying to get in on Tuesday night around seven. It was really busy so if you don't want to wait for a bar stool or a table show up by 5:30-6 ....! Parking is on the street if you can find it close by....if you can walk , do it!... read more

We went down after dining upstairs at the Olde Pink House for a nightcap. It is dark and moody but in a good way. They had a pianist and bass fiddle player performing which was enjoyable. There is a huge fireplace, a couch and some chairs to sit and hang out near the bar. You can also dine on what... More

We love Savannah. This is our 4th visit and thanks to Trip Advisor, we were told about this plae four years ago. Tonight we returned to find it as good as ever! This is truly a food gem in a gem of a city. A little hard to find, but worht it. Parking can be tough so be warned. We... More

I don't understand how this restaurant shows up As number eighteen in popularity of the trip advisor list. One of the finest dining experience we have had in a long time. The restaurant is also the pink house same menu a little more casual. I had braised pork shank collards and Mac and cheese the wife had fried pork chop... More

I have been spending my birthday at The Planters Tavern for the past five years. We just love this place. Upstairs at the Olde Pink House is too stuffy for us but Planters Tavern is much more our style. Dark, low ceilings, two fireplaces. Excellent bartenders, generous drinks and the same food at upstairs. You can't go wrong. We have... More

Planters Tavern shares a menu with the Olde Pink House, which is upstairs. Planters is in the basement and it is an awesome atmosphere. There are no reservations- so get there right at 5pm when they open. Our first attempt was unsuccessful despite being the 2nd group in line. The manager guy was very rude to us and told us... More

Great buffet if before 3pm with many southern style dishes. Don't pass up the 'pirates' tour when finished with your meal.

Worth checking out if only for a drink. Atmosphere is awesome. Food is very good. It is rather small and fills up early.

The Pink House is elegant...but the Planters Tavern is in the basement...very cozy. Resembles a pub; we were in two giant leather chairs by the fire, aaah! Portions are small but tasty. Good shrimp and grits (but not as good as Vic's!). This was a nice place to go to for a couples lunch :0)

We have dined at the Pink house before and loved it but we prefer dining below at Planters Tavern. Same exact menu but more cozy! Love the piano music. Great place to stop in for a drink and appetizers as well.
