Drink and eat by Candle light

This place is really cool. It is in the basement of Olde Pink House Restaurant. They have candles for light (there are some dim overhead lights) so if you don't like the dark or have a hard time seeing, you probably don't want to sit down there for dinner. Our plan was to have a drink at... read more

Best meal that we had in Savannah .....we enjoyed many others but by far this was the best! The place is small so I'd advise to get there early...the candle light is so nice, the piano player was great... We will make this a regular stop anytime we are in town... Loved it!

This is beautiful. You can walk through and look at each room even if you don't eat there. But do eat there. Each room of the mansion is a separate eating room. The staff are all friendly and helpful. The food is nice to look at and nice to eat; although portions are a bit small. This is a repeat... More

The food is great and the atmosphere is cozy and romantic. The service was great also. There is live music. They do not take reservations so get there by 5 to ensure you get a table

Really good food, a bit pricey but good. Extensive menu with local seafood. Waitpeople were on top of it. Nice presentation in this very historic building.

My husband and I had eaten at the Olde Pink House the night we eloped and were well impressed - I told him I had read there was a bar or something in the basement.... We asked the staff who were more than happy to walk us downstairs. The atmosphere reminded me of the old wartime British movies with people... More

If you are looking for a small (and crowded), dark (cozy with 2 fireplaces!) neighborhood-type bar and restaurant, then Planter's Tavern is where you want to go. Located on the lower level of The Pink House restaurant, it has a few tables where food is served, fireplaces at both ends of the room and a large bar where you can... More

I've been to the pink house, and then to the planter's tavern. The food was amazing at both places, but I actually enjoyed the cozy atmosphere at the tavern better. It was also better if you have kids. Pink House (upstairs): more formal, amazing service, need reservation, leisurely pace Planters Tavern (downstairs): more casual but still nice, intimate with long... More

The ambiance in this 250 restored house is superb. They invite you to take a tour of this 3 story dining period home. Every dining room is different and possesses its own charm. We sat in the tavern area in the basement area at a romantic table for 2 in front of a lit fireplace. Felt regal yet cozy in... More
