En trevlig överaskning

Friendly, tasty good food, good prices in a old fashioned atmosphere. Cod was excellent but the broccoli slightly overcooked.

Surprised that gravy smothered our main meals (meatloaf, mashed potatoes, chopped steak burger). Gravy wasn't bad, though. Beef barley soup was ok. Decent salads. Blackberry pie was all goop filling with 1 blackberry.

As many have stated, my husband and stopped in on our way to Nemacolin despite the mixed reviews. As most have previously stated, this is a very simple diner with a simple menu and reasonable prices. We both had a meatless breakfast sandwich with lettuce, tomato and mayo and split an order of home fries; enough to share since we... More

The ladies that run the place are priceless! Had the meatloaf dinner . . . Just like Mom's . . Dinner came with hot dinner rolls and they had lots of berry pies for desert

Reviews seemed mixed but figured a local diner in generally a good pick. Not this time. Friendly waitress acknowledged new cooks in the kitchen but service was super slow, food was lukewarm, bacon way overdone, eggs dry, potatoes just bad. The General would not have been pleased.

We stopped here after noon last Sunday on our way to Kentuck Knob. Their reviews are mixed so we weren't sure what to expect but what we got was a good, solid breakfast in unassuming surroundings. My husband ordered their French toast and patty sausage while I had their General Braddock II special with pancakes, sausage, bacon, eggs and toast.... More

If you are in the Ohiopyle area, and you would like to eat somewhere away from the crowds near the actual park, this is a very good and inexpensive alternative. My wife really likes a meatloaf. I had a chicken sandwich. Service was good and the food hit the spot.

My daughter and I went there after an all day rafting trip. We were tired and hungry and disheveled from all day on the river. We wanted to eat dinner and go home. Even in our sweats, we were welcomed in, given a nice table and greeted warmly by a very sweet young and attentive waitress. The prices were very... More

I was out with a friend in Farmington, PA last week kayaking and we decided to try the Braddock Inn for breakfast. I have to admit, I can not ever recall having a worse cup of coffee in my life. Breakfast was adequate, but certainly nothing to write home about. I had been there once before with my son and... More
