Charming and Delicious- Save Room for the Bread Pudding!

We had heard only positive reviews of this slightly out of the way restaurant. On the first floor of a neighborhood of row houses, we soon discovered how clever the designer of the restaurant is. We had heard only positive reviews of this slightly out of the way restaurant. On the first floor of a neighborhood of row houses, we soon discovered how clever the designer of the restaurant is. This was my first trip to Annabel with two friends (also first timers), but I can say with confidence it won’t be my last. I visited late on a Wednesday evening, and although the place is small we immediately got a table. The service was excellent and both our server and the bartender were very attentive. I immediately got set... More

This stop was a 10-minute drive from our Scarborough Fair B & B in Federal Hill and was well worth it. We came to town to celebrate Edgar Allan Poe's birthday and found this restaurant in a fall AAA magazine. The decor celebrates Poe and his poem, "Annabel Lee" with quotes and paints on the walls, pictures and old volumes... More

In Canton, I've heard plenty of good things about Annabel Lee Tavern. It's got a nice Edgar Allen Poe vibe and in the same week I received two recommendations to try it there (in addition to the countless recommendations I've heard in the past.) My friend Laura has also been dying to try Annabel Lee Tavern so we made a... More

My daughter had eaten here before and recommended it to us. The staff was very helpful and attentive. The crab cake was outstanding. Lots of crab and very little filler. The duck fat fries were very rich. We had Salty Carmel crunch cake and it was delicious.

My party of 3 walked into the very crowded Annabel Lee on a Saturday night before a show at the Creative Alliance. There was the initial dread that if we eat here, there's no way we'd make the show. But before that thought could even sink in, we were greeted by one of the staff who guided us to a... More

Thank you Annabel Lee for kindly squeezing a party of 3, - with no reservation - into a packed restaurant. And on top of that - we had a wonderful quick dinner in a boisterous and energetic restaurant - We will be back and spend more time with you at some point. Service is excellent - and the food was... My wife being a librarian and me a Poe fan, we visited this restaurant 4/11/2013 the night before we got engaged and loved it. On 10/12/2014, 4 weeks after our wedding and 18 months after we got engaged, we drove 3 1/2 hr to have dinner. We are so glad. We had crab cakes and BBQ Bacon, Shrimp and Cheddar... More

Nestled back in the neighborhood of Canton this unassuming restaurant may have the best food, drink and atmosphere in all of Baltimore. While it is one of the few establishments that serves Resurrection, it's the combination of the creativity of the chef and hospitality of the owner that keeps guests coming back time and again. The inside of the restaurant... More

Wonderful food, service and atmosphere. Staff is super friendly and even had a nice chat with the owner about his love of Poe. Duck Fat fries are a MUST! Can't stop thinking about them. Great crab cake and their specialty drink menu has some great combos. Can't wait until I am back in the area
