Make sure you also get the Brussels sprouts! Go early, be prepared to sit at the bar or try for reservations. These are the the best crab cakes I've ever had!

Once upon a weekend dreary, while I drove 'round, weak and weary, Frozen after a day of blustery weather in town Baltimore-- While I drove on, nearly leaving, suddenly there it was standing, As of some fortunate retreat, retreat from the stormy roar. " 'Tis some eatery," I exclaimed, "tempting my cold spirit more-- Quickly park; open the door." If... More

Annabel Lee Tavern is a Poe themed tavern. We were a party of 4 and everyone enjoyed their meal. The crab cakes were excellent. A little expensive for what you get at a tavern. The atmosphere was very nice, but keep in mind that this is a tavern, not a restaurant, so most seating is at the bar or at... More

We visited for the first time this weekend despite having lived in the area for years. It was my husband's birthday. Two of us ordered the steak special and two of us ordered the single crab cake platter. All the dinners were great. However, I must say the crab cakes were the best I've had at a restaurant in Baltimore.... More

Atmosphere was quaint, romantic, and still had a somewhat casual feel which was nice. The applewood bacon nachos are to die for and the duck breast was delicious.

Where do you take a friend visiting from Texas that has Edgar Allen Poe ranked as one of their favorite authors???? BINGO...Annable Lee's...To be honest, we did not chose Annabel Lee's for this reason, it was just a coincidence. We wanted a Baltimore neighborhood local eatery to relax and visit. It is a small place with few tables and a... More

This is a hidden gem. Poe themed resteraunt with great food and atmosphere. Get there early because the seats fill quickly and once you have been here you will understand why. You should stop here at least once.

We have stopped here a couple of times driving through Baltimore. I love the theme and decor. It adds a gothic feel but it's not like Jekyll and Hyde. It's a little pricey but everything we've ever had tasted great and had good portion size. Unique and great beers too. I'm pretty sure we are going to stop here every... More

This is one of my absolute favorite bar/restaurants in the neighborhood! I've eaten there probably 10 times and literally never had the same thing twice. The daily specials are always soooooo good but so is the regular menu! When they started serving breakfast I was skeptical but it's just as good! A neighborhood favorite and a must if you're looking... More

Driving through Baltimore we relied on Trip Advisor for dinner guidance, Advancing from the West the neighborhood was iffy. Luckily we decided to take a chance and were rewarded with a thoroughly delightful interesting delicious dinner. Hubby had the special pasta entre and I the trout (perfectly cooked and seasoned). Cool waiters and authentic local tavern scene. We could not... More
