Crab cakes

When I moved to B'more all I heard about were ducking crab cakes, football and the wire. For the sake of this being a good review lets just talk about crab cakes. Where to get them, who had the best, blah blah blah. Not being clouded by tradition or some other reason to convince one self that... read more

Ate here on a very pleasant summer evening while my teen attended the 1D concert. At the bar - nice conversations with staff and others enjoying a drink. Drank one of the Poe microbrews - perfect temp - tart and crisp. Had their crab cake sandwich - huge crab chunks - only missing a tangy sauce but still good. The... More

This was a nice small bar/restaurant. The menu was great. The waitstaff was excellent. The dinner was very good.

I spent 43 days straight in Baltimore - I live 160 miles away. There are loads of folks who claim to have the best crab cakes in Baltimore. Annabel Lee does not make that claim but they actually do have the best - and I tried over 30 other places. Besides the crab cakes, their fries are unbelievable! Their asparagus... More

I loved my meal at Annabel Lee. The cocktail menu is fantastic, I really enjoyed my 'Annabel'. I also got a crab cake with sweet potato fries, and my friend got ribs. I have to admit that the crab cake was a little bland, but the portion was very generous, it was almost all crab meat! I tried the ribs... More

My hubby and I visited Annabel Lee for our date night. We arrived around 7 and were promptly seated at a fold out high top. My stool shared real estate with a large radiator so the table was far from comfortable. Our waitress was over quickly and very pleasant. I had a house cocktail made with Hendricks gin and it... Great food, great drinks, great service. Had the BBQ nachos, crab cake sandwich with jalapeño fries, and a few of the local beers. Definitely recommend.

The menu changes regularly and always has some interesting choices. The drink menu equally so. Try to make reservations if you can - it can get busy and it is not a large place. It also offers al fresco dining. Been there in both small and large groups and have always had a good meal with good service. Try the... More

I have to admit, without Trip Advisor I never would have found this place. But thankfully I did. My wife is a huge Edgar Allen Poe fan so once I heard of this place I knew I had to take her. But the food is what will keep me coming back again. What everyone else says about the duck fat... More

Wife and I visited here as part of a little weekend Poe themed get-away. Was a little worried about it being busy after reading other reviews but we got into town on Friday night and went from the hotel to the restaurant without trying for a reservation. We were seated right away and we weren't disappointed. We each started out... More
