duck fat fries.

Great food, great drinks, great service. Had the BBQ nachos, crab cake sandwich with jalapeño fries, and a few of the local beers. Definitely recommend.

The menu changes regularly and always has some interesting choices. The drink menu equally so. Try to make reservations if you can - it can get busy and it is not a large place. It also offers al fresco dining. Been there in both small and large groups and have always had a good meal with good service. Try the... More

I have to admit, without Trip Advisor I never would have found this place. But thankfully I did. My wife is a huge Edgar Allen Poe fan so once I heard of this place I knew I had to take her. But the food is what will keep me coming back again. What everyone else says about the duck fat... More

Wife and I visited here as part of a little weekend Poe themed get-away. Was a little worried about it being busy after reading other reviews but we got into town on Friday night and went from the hotel to the restaurant without trying for a reservation. We were seated right away and we weren't disappointed. We each started out... More

Been meaning to try this place for a long time and now we can't wait to go back. Service was über friendly and attentive. Our server made great food and drink suggestions based on our wishes. Ambience was cozy. Decent amount of beers on tap. Jalapeño fries were out of this world. They flavor the fries, so even the bites... More

What this quaint little tavern lacks in space, it more than makes up for it in atmosphere and quality of food and service! While our group of 8 was a large one for the building, our server and Chef Joe made sure that we had a 4-star experience. The Poe themed decor is worth the 15 minute drive from Mid-Town... More

I had a great time here. I had the BBQ chicken and bacon nachos, which were delicious. We brought an extra person beyond our booked reservation and were accommodated quite graciously. I loved this place and highly recommend it.

Very disappointing dinner for our family of 5. Took 45 minutes to receive our food. Steak ordered medium was overcooked. Ribs were pasted with thick sauce. Corn on the cob was tough. Noise level extremely high. Bar stools at tables ( no backs ) Very uncomfortable after a short time. Will not return.

My wife and I went to the tavern for a meal after a day of sight seeing. The building itself is fantastic, with almost every inch dedicated to Edgar Allan Poe and his work. And the food is fantastic! I had the crab cakes, and I ordered the plate with 2 cakes which was "almost" too much. But the crab... More

A nice little find a bit out of the way in Baltimore. Parking was close and easy, and the atmosphere was great. We stopped after a business meeting on our way back to the airport. We had the BBQ nachos which were huge and good. I had the Chicken sandwich that was OK but not spectacular. The sweet potato fries were... More
