Ate early on a rainy late fall evening. Imaginative, varied, well-prepared menu with a good, modestly price wine list, beers and specialty mixed drinks. Not sure [yet, after 20+ visits] what a French bistro is, but I think Annabel Lee is a Baltimore bistro. Small dining area adjacent to the bar, only about 30 table seats, plus the bar, for... more

Everything was just perfect! I was in town to run the Baltimore Marathon and scoured Trip Advisor for a great place to eat post race. I read all of the reviews and decided on the Annabel Lee Tavern. What a great place. We started with the duck fat fries. Although some of the reviews complained about the price or the... more

The special’s board was full of great options, however the one I had was good, not great; but I’m picky. There is something on the board for everyone. Really good service and would definitely go back next time I’m in BLT. more

I often "Rank" my hotel experiences on TA; but this is the 1st time that I've ranked a restaurant. This place is just too good.... It's about 3 miles north of downtown and worth the effort. It's small and authentic. Everything is fresh---VG soups & salads, etc... It only has like 6 or 7 tables w/ another 3 or 4... more

When you drive by Annabel Lee Tavern, you would never think that nestled inside this unassuming space (there is still formstone on the outside of the building!) is some of the best bar food in Baltimore. Annabel Lee serves mostly upscale bar/comfort food (think burgers, wraps, crab cakes, nachos) but everything is excellent and they typically have a few more... more

I had heard good things about the Annabel Lee Tavern, notably their appearance on the Sun’s Top Ten list for sweet potato fries. Located near Patterson Park, their space is the typical Baltimore rowhouse restaurant: bar up front and a few tables in the space behind that. I was very impressed by the décor, consisting of many nods and touches... more

Unassuming outside, small neighborhood tavern with a distinct Poe theme. Hardly any seating, so call ahead, they do take a "wait list" which came in handy for immediate seating. The sweet potato fries were great, lamb sliders were all they were talked up to be, and the menu is interesting with a varied list of specials. Sitting on hard wooden... more
